Ok, Bar Taco is holding a section outside for 12ish at 4:30 but I'll arrive early......sounds like more people won't be a problem...

"I'll Pencil you in" semi-reservation is under the name Christine Llollo / PhilZone

Andy's picking me up see you at the taco place

I was hoping to make it today, but when I got into my car after work I discovered that my catalytic converter was stolen!!!! Bummed!

^^^ oh no? train? uber? ride from where?

I had some oysters across street but now I'm waiting for Zoners at entrance of Bar Taco.

Will get a better spot on deck if at least 6 are here to start...

I don't have a ticket anyway....

there are always tickets

I am out, JLP god bless you, you tried your best and I would have loved to see ya one more time but these older bones needed a rest (even a very generous offer of a freebie and my girl Nicki can't convince me). I will stream, wave/smile to the camera all, I'll be waving from my sofa :)

Second that emotion was the real deal!

The band seems like it could cook tonight.

I know how you feel Jeff. I'm still recuperating too!

Did fine in PC but caught a head cold walking around midtown in the rain after Phantom of the Opera.

Last weekend shows were smokin' and it was great to get huge hugs from a quite a few awesome zoners!

Have fun phreaks

Viva la Phil!

wow that was nice

Some major guitar fireworks in that Set 2 sneak peak

Great shoe! Tommy G made it home safely instinct put me on the Northbound Train to New Canaan   with a change at stamford Finally public transport is kinda cool andy send that restaurant info

...

Relistening to the show now (had  interruptions), and there are so many highlights.  The vocals are exquisite in places (a dead band?).  But I love this version of the guitar army, they're busy, they're listening, there's the occasional really interesting sections, but some great fireworks too!   Tennessee Jed rips it up good, the vocals tear up It Hurts me to, and Jack Straw takes on a life of it's own!  Time for the 2nd set (that's the set I missed a bunch of).

Long live the Phil!

All around just exactly perfect time from a~>z

I fucken adore Us!!!!!!!!

Grahame Lesh and Friends.

Hard pass.

Outfunkingstanding imo. I'd travel to see this lineup. Marcus wasn't on my radar til now. This man has seroius presence on a stage.  Just watched the sneak peaks on YouTube and  I am impressed. This is a 3 guitar attack on the senses and all three have quite  distinctive voices.  They weave  between each other near seamlessly.  Krasno reminding me of Herring, King of Haynes and Lesh of Dickey Betts.  This ain't no piano band, but Crosby never allows himself to get too far back in the pack just filling space, he jumps on the leads when inspired and can dominate for beautiful flashes of eternity.   Drums a rock solid foundation and add Phil to all this and I'm saying it is all here in spades.  Nicki Bluhm on vocals just the cherry on top of all this goodness. She sure rocked that Lovelight. Wow!

Even without Molo I loved it all

It's only one show but this band was good on this night, let's see what Monday brings. Potential for sure, but I think they need to figure a way to have Graham sing less

Marcus has been killin it for more than a few years now. Caught one show of his in 20 right after things finally opened up after covid, just a phenomenal player. Can't wait to give this stuff w/Phil a proper listen.

I'd kind of written Marcus off as a bit of a younger Warren Haynes clone, but he really shines as his own musician and does the GD stuff justice. A good fit with Krasno as well imo.

>>>they need to figure a way to have Graham sing less<<<

Yeah, that's not likely to happen. Unless Metzger is in the band Grahame gets the Weir songs.

Personally, I think his guitar playing is OK, as long as he's not hogging solos, which he usually doesn't, and his rhythm playing is excellent and contributes really well, but his singing pretty much drives me up a wall.

But then again, I haven't liked many if not most of the singers with Phil over the years, and singing is the least important part for me anyway. But yeah, sometimes Grahame is almost nails on a chalkboard for me.

The funny thing is that I find his singing much better when he's playing with his own band, singing the songs he's written. Maybe that's not surprising.

Time grows short, but I'm still holding out hope that David Crosby will get hooked up with Phil. I've always thought he would just kill the Garcia ballads, and that would make Grahame's "interpretations" of the Weir songs more bearable.

It sounds like all of these shows have been at least decent and fun, and at this late date fun is a good thing.

Have fun tomorrow you freaks!

Potential for sure, but I think they need to figure a way to have Graham sing less<<<<

Maybe someone can dose him into a puddle.

Apparently Marcus's girlfriends band plays at MAGA rallies. Just a long strange trip from the house band for acid tests.
