Nice pre Winter Storm Rolled Through Ventura County today

Forums:

We Got about 1 and 3/4 to 2 inches of Rain round here  with Winds and Cool so far!  I'll Take It

Nor Cal chime In and Racket any Mammoth Reports !

12"+ atop Mt. Tam...

We got a couple of inches of rain in the last 24 hours, and a few inches of snow this afternoon. It's kind of nice to have some humidity for a change.

Noticed SF and Sacramento had record rainfalls...  we've been borderline snow in western Oregon, with thunderstorms on the coast (w/ all the earthquakes offshore, the PNW earthquake discussion group was full of locals mistaking thunder for earthquakes, LOL)

Snowing now. Got 3 storms coming in in the next week. Just had a nice one that dumped a bunch of snow at the resorts last week.

Wife just got home here in Salty Town. She got stuck in the middle lane of the I-15 freeway trying to change lanes. Dead stop! Highway Patrol pushed her out. Glad she's still alive. Damn. Said people who were moving were doing 10-15 mph and many stuck on the side of the road. Had "Thundersnow", lightning and thunder during the snowstorm. Thursday is supposed to be worse. Happy Winter! Look out Denver.

Slickrock, I'm glad your wife is ok. That must have been very sketchy even if people were going 15.....Good thing there was a cop there to help her.

As you know we got hammered pretty good here in Ca. I read about a CHP car pushing a truck uphill in Tahoe.

WALSTIB mentioned 12 inches on Mt. Tam. We live at the base of it and got about 5.5 inches in the same timeframe.

It's nice to get a bunch of rain without too many local reports of people getting flooded out of their homes and businesses...

Take it easy and stay safe!

That is a lot of rain.  Stay dry California freeks.

Dang Slick.  Glad your wife is ok.  Buckle up kids, its going to be a wild ride.

Thanks. Had 9.5 inches on the garbage cans. Tree branches down. Power outages. Ever see Thundersnow?  https://twitter.com/NewsKeira/status/1470971284955676675

Saw two cars that had floated down a creek trying to cross a flooded road in temescal canyon yesterday, but obviously wasn't focused on taking photos.

Wow, El Nino. What a forecast. Now don't no one worry 'bout that climate change bullshit.

Soooooooooo pretty this morning when the sun came up over the Wasatch Mountains and lit up the neighborhood. Shining bright now. Another storm (worse) tomorrow.

My neighbor's tree.

This guy is sure excited catching thundersnow twice outside Zion Nat'l Park. A first for him, and he's done a lot of traveling.  https://twitter.com/CraggWayne/status/1470964737613516801
