Last weeks (somewhat rare) snowfall in Cornholio... beneficiaries of the "Forest Grove" effect, or upslope winds on the west end of the W. Valley (eastern coast range), allowing the dumpage to occur there.
Cut breasts into 1/2" thick strips, hot cast iron skillet, cooked through in 2 to 3 minutes with little smoke. Tried cooking an entire breast the first time and that took way too long.
^Nice! My buddy does the shooting, only while they're in flight, and he only takes the drakes out. I don't know how he does it, but generally speaking, ducks are pretty safe with me behind the gun...lol. The variation and subtly of the colors in the feathers is amazing up close. Not much surpasses natural beauty.
