From 10-minute quarters to a 24-second shot clock, here are 10 ways to improve the college game to make it more watchable.

^the games I've watched have been good.

If you want 4 quarters and a 24 second clock, watch the pros

10 minute quarters would help the flow of the game a lot.  No more added time outs and stuff.  Plenty of time for commercials between quarters.

Also, you could watch most any kind of basketball besides college and see quarters, not just pros.

I do

Currently the point guard takes a shit after crossing half-court in celebration of beating the 10 second rule. Then calls out a 30 second play that looks like a passing drill that leads to a three or bad shot. When it's up and down back a fourth action is when it's at it's best. Sounds like the pro game minus 4-8 seconds the point guard waste's after getting over half court.

^sounds like a problem with play design/coaching

I would never back a fourth action.

all it needs is kids to play more than 1 season.

4 year players remember them.

You guys should love Loyola of Chicago then. The starting five is full of juniors and seniors.

you could watch the NIT tourney. I'm pretty sure that is played with four 10 min quarters.

I've been satisfied by the level of competition in a lot of the games I have checked out this year.

timeouts and dead play doesn't bother me, I have to puff outside so its another bong rip break.

I think the NIT is testing out a lot of possible changes that may or will be coming to NCAA Basketball.  Wider lane, 10 minute quarters.  I can't think of what else they may be tinkering with.  Possibly having the 10 seconds to get the ball across half court, and then a shot clock that starts once you get it across.

i dont like NCAA ball at all, really never have and i've thoroughly enjoyed this tournament.

been hard for me for to even watch some the tourneys over the past few years.

Stop with inviting sub .500 teams from larger conferences over the little guys with great records.

and there is nothing wrong on what is going on

nothing wrong with whats goin on now imo

definitely not 4 quarters. 2 halves just fine

agree with fabes on lil guys w/ great records over subpar teams from big conferences

to me the nba is more entertainment than competitive sport.lotta noncalls and favortism to the elite players.

Really?  You're a fan of basketball and you focus on improving the most watchable games of the year?

Scott-- the NBA has become a league of Harlem Globetrotters.   How many steps to travel??????

How about that Blake Griffith

^They changed the rules for Wilt and for Jordan.

They widened the lane for Wilt and they did away with traveling for Jordan.

I've been hearing that a lot of youth leagues are doing away with the 3 point line. Kids can shoot beyond the line but all baskets count as 2 pts.

Stick to politics nugs

Yeah, this topic is a direct threat to the integrity of the sport of college basketball...LMAO...and we don't need nobody with views on anything but basketball chimin in on anything about this here basketball stuff.

Tournament is good basketball but regular season not so much.

JR stick to being a asshole.

^NHL playoffs are fantastic, the regular season is less than exciting
