Congratulations, Harrini champ and Vikram in a grinder of a spell off.
I think some precedents have been set.
Vibes for ,Vikram.
By far the most intense competition/bee I have seen.
It's so civil and fascinating(sp)
Didn't much care for the color commentary.

I watched the semi's last night for about an hour. It's humbling to realize how many of the words I got wrong that 11 yr olds were getting right....lol

I made it to the final two in my fifth grade spelling bee, and then went down in flames with what should have been a slam dunk: Garage. G-a-r-g-a-g-e. Garage.

First round no-go in the
First round no-go in the second grade
about a week prior; my teacher handed out a list of examples of words similar to those that might appear on the written test
I didn't really understand how to study for a spelling bee (I still don't), so instead I just memorized the list
the written test ended up being the exact same list, word for word. Duh. Aced it.
the school administration called me a cheater.
