Goes Out To JimFurn ! Remember all His Incredible Stories at PZone ? Oregon Beaches and Lighthouses JimFurn ! yes

Anyone know how Jim is doing?    He had some good stories about old "Terrible Tilly"

I grew up in the Lighthouse Park neighborhood of St. Augustine, Fla. in the shadow of this lighthouse.  It is known for being haunted:

Here is another haunted lighthouse - Yaquina Bay Lighthouse in Newport, Oregon:

From our day trip to York, ME 2 weeks ago.

This little lighthouse is at the Brough of Birsay in the Orkney Islands.  Its right next to the ruins of on a old Viking settlement on a little tidal island that can only be reached at low tide.  The name comes from the Old Norse ‘Byrgisey’ – the fort island:

Post your lighthouse pics!

Dig it.

Here's the Cape Arago Lighthouse (formerly known as Cape Gregory) in Charleston, Oregon.  Had a buddy visiting from NY a week or so ago, so I took him to Cape Arago / Shore Acres state park.  Not my best Lighthouse pics, but recent, so there ya go.  Spectacular area for sure!

I recently read an article that ALL lighthouses of the world have wasps nests in the top.
