what's that tiny guitar he's playing? is that like an old-style electric guitar? cool instrument ...

It was just a matter of time before someone brought back that everly bros. type sound.

those guys r nailing it from their gear, to their harmonies, to their song writing, to their hair.

i'd gladly go see them if it was convenient

It was just a matter of time before someone brought back that everly bros. type sound.

One of the more interesting side projects recently (2013) was Norah Jones' and Billie Joe Armstrong's ForEverly album and shows. Great stuff.

I have the original series soundtrack on official cassette.

favorite track by far -

the veils - axolotl

honorable mention goes to trouble ft riley lynch - snake eyes

lissie and NIN were also super solid - NIN did a real noisy one, with some great shots by demming, fit in real well with the insanity of E8...i dont even like NIN all that much, but that track and the way they shot it was fucking killer

really love this track, which is included in the twin peaks soundtrack;

muddy magnolias - american woman (remix)

really great remix that is just bursting with the darkest of lynch asthetics. here is the original song, which is an absolutely engrossing rocker;

also loved getting the lady from silencio in mullholland drive singing in the roadhouse

really would have loved to see fantomas lay down their class twin peaks: fire walk with me track, and i think swans from almost any era would have fit like a glove

seeing that roadhouse sign pop up at the end of an episode was always such a bummer - you knew it was ending and it felt like you'd only watched 20min or so.

this whole thing was an incredible ride. i had given up on getting the twin peaks story continued many years ago, and even when the revival was announced, i never imagined it could be excecuted so well. imo s3 is better than s1 or 2 and fwwm...i had never even for a moment considered that a possibility until the arm's doppleganger dropped coop into the mauve zone...thats when i knew this was going to be a serious experience.

but for all the great music in this season, i think my favorite twin peaks song of all time is still jimmy scott singing lynch's "sycamore trees"

Totally agree about both The veils and Jimmy Scott.

Even before this vinyl was released I have been listening to the Twin Peaks Season 3 /The Return playlist on Spotify.

And I created my own playlist on Spotify of all David Lynch related soundtracks (both movies and Twin Peaks) a while back which - with a nod to Jimmy Scott - I titled "the branches that blow in the breeze".

Also good to see all the Cactus Blossums love above in this thread.

Julee Cruise: a great voice for  surreal soundtracks...

Good call, AIQ

Bought the Cactus Blossums CD as soon as I heard their song on the show, great stuff.

Same with Rebekah del Rio.

Finding some good music was the best part of this (disappointing to me) series.

what were your gripes thom???

isn't that a comedian who won one of those seasons of ru Paul's drag race?

No, she is an amazing vocalist that you should check out.
