MSNBC can't do math

Not a surprise given the source, but amusing none the less.

Brian Williams, NYT's Gay criticized over math flub: 'Saddest clip in TV history'

“Bloomberg spent $500 million on ads. The U.S. population is 327 million. He could have given each American $1 million and still have money left over, I feel like a $1 million check would be life-changing for people. Yet he wasted it all on ads and STILL LOST," Williams said in quoting a tweet by journalist Mekita Rivas.

“It’s an incredible way of putting it,” Williams concluded.
“It’s an incredible way of putting it. It’s true,” Gay added. “It’s disturbing.”

The U.S. population is currently 327 million people, which if evenly divided by $500 million comes to $1.53 per person.

The hashtag "BrianWilliams" quickly trended on Twitter Thursday night after the flub.

You've just proved "liberalism" is off its rocker and everything Trump says is 100% dead on!

What's the math on worst-case scenario of deaths resulting from coronavirus?

How many 911's will it equate to?

Should we start raking?

Andrew Yang to the courtesy phone please.

Worth a chuckle, but don't see how this is an indictment of anyone's political beliefs and its kinda of weird that its presented that way.

Rather National Enquirer' ish reporting there.

"This, right here, is why so many left-leaning Americans think that “the billionaires” can pay for everything. It’s why Elizabeth Warren was enthusiastically boosted by the media despite her ridiculous pretense that she could pay for a series of gargantuan initiatives without raising taxes on anyone but the extremely rich. It’s why Democrat after Democrat promises not to raise “middle class taxes” while promising programs that require the raising of middle class taxes. How did this bad tweet make it onto TV to be endorsed? Why did Mara Gay agree with it? Why didn’t Brian Williams notice? Because the people involved in this clip thought it was true. This is how they see the world."

No, Thom, it was an error.

My guess is they were cross wiring this conversation with the one that deduced the cost per delegate earned. Simple error and easily corrected. I doubt they believe in Alternate Math.

Has anyone ever seen Brian Williams' daughter on the HBO show "Girls"? She could be horrible at math too, doesn't matter a bit.

>>>>Not a surprise given the source

please Thom, you idiot, list some other infamous instances where MSNBC can't do math. you say this isn't a surprise, implying that it happens all the time. You won't, and you can't. This is an example of you being an asshole, Thom. Spreading bullshit. Taking a mistake and trying to make it more than it is, which is why you should go fuck yourself, Thom.

All cable news is bullshit.

>>>This is how they see the world."

Try asking Thom for his view on something.

But Trump is a genius........

At the risk of more expletive-laden name calling, it is somewhat alarming that the girl from the New York Times and a major network news anchor obviously thought Bloomberg could have given everyone a million dollars, most third graders would have caught the mistake.

Thom sure did own the libs with this one.

Byron your misogyny is showing.

...the girl from the New York Times and a major network news anchor.

^ I guess I'll have to turn in my pink hat

Yep repost of the top story on Fox. Thom please explain the math on how cutting taxes raises revenue without creating deficits?

You gotta worship Ayn Rand to understand

Meanwhile, Thom is doing his "research," and posting to the Zone while sucking off the taxpayer teet, in his collegiate ivory tower.

So, 500 million dollars isn't much money after all...

If someone has a million dollars to give me, I'd like it in 20 dollar bills (email in my profile)

MSNBC  Can't Do Math

FOXNEWS  Won't Report The Truth

<<All cable news is bullshit.

Rachel Maddow and Nicole Wallace are class acts, and you are an idiot greg

Wallace joined the White House staff during President George W. Bush's first term, serving as Special Assistant to the President and Director of Media Affairs at the White House, where she oversaw regional press strategy and outreach.[16] In 2003, Wallace joined the Bush–Cheney '04 campaign as the Communications Director, where according to The New York Times, "she delivered her political attacks without snarling."[17]

Might I suggest you look at tRumps publically stated math related mistakes (you can start w/ the Coronavirus)...   they have just a bit more impact that a slip of the tongue on a live newscast (which is worthy of mocking for entertainment, but isn't exactly news)

Thom gives bad thread

All the people are saying it

You people!

Come on JR...they only care about profits.  They just pit each side against each other then sit back and watch the ratings pour in. Neither side gives a shit. They are just in it for the ratings and the money. ..especially cable news. They want chaos that way they can report on it.

Right buddy?

thom can't scratch a leftist without out finding a totalitarian.

>>Rachel Maddow and Nicole Wallace are class acts, and you are an idiot greg

LOL.  I'm sorry but anyone who thinks there is any value added from ANY of the cable networks is sorely mistaken and hoodwinked.

Read the new Taiibi book a few months back- great stuff:

Taibi.png

Maddow was on the frontlines of the media's misled Russia Gate debacle which was a monumental blow to the public's view of the legitimacy of the media and played directly into Trump and his minions.

Greg's post was succinct and spot on.
