"Mr. Charlie"

I take a little powder, take a little salt, put it in my shotgun, I go walkin'
Jubba jubba, wolly bully, looking high, looking low,
Gonna scare you up and shoot ya, Mister Charlie told me so.

I won't even take your life, won't even take a limb,
Just unload my shotgun, take a little skin.
Jubba jubba, wolly bully, looking high, looking low,
Gonna scare you up and shoot ya, Mister Charlie told me so.

Well you take my silver dollar, take those silver dimes,
Fix it up together in some alligator wine.
I can hear the drums, voodoo all night long,
Mister Charlie tells me I can't do nothing wrong.
Jubba jubba, wolly bully, looking high, looking low,
Gonna scare you up and shoot ya, Mister Charlie told me so.

Now Mister Charlie told me, won't you like to know,
Give you little warning before I let you go.
Jubba jubba, wolly bully, looking high, looking low,
Gonna scare you up and shoot ya, Mister Charlie told me so.
Gonna scare you up and shoot ya, Mister Charlie, Mister Charlie told me so.

He wasn't the best dog you could ever own. He would piss in the house about once a week. When we replaced the roof on my house I came downstairs he chewed about 20 holes in the couch. He was food aggressive and bit the fuck out of me a couple of times trying to move his food bowl or take away a chicken bone he got a hold of.

He had a habit of letting off the most incredible stinky farts when people would come over too.

He was a chick magnet, Ted would go the the beach with him and the girls would flock over to pet the fat wiener. As Ted got older he worked that line into a date or two. I would walk him in the park after dinner (had to drive him in the truck to the park) he always got attention from everyone.

Well his Liver has been fucked up for two years and he was not acting right for a few days. He wouldn't eat any snacks. We took him in and they said his kidney was in bad shape so we opted for a hydration treatment. They kept him for a half day on Wednesday and all day Thursday. He came home Thursday night like a 2 year old pup. Barkin eating and wagging his tail and chasing the others around.

Friday evening he went down for the worst, this is a picture I took of him. We went in Saturday morning and his liver was shutting down. We had the option of the hydration tratment again but we would have to do it every other day at $300 a shot. He was in a lot of pain in his stomach. We all decided that was not the way to go.

We had to put good ole Mr. Charlie down on Saturday morning. It was tough but there is no reason to live in pain.

I always feel that our pets go to a very special place where there is sunrays to lay in, fields to run in with snacks and toys everywhere to play with. It's a place only super speciel people go to when they die to help the animals and play with them too.

RIP Charlie we loved you so.

Lookin high, Lookin Low, Mr. Charlie told me so.

Good - looking Pup.

Sorry for your loss.  Sounds like Mr. Charlie lived a cushy life.

Hey dude - its a heavy day when you gotta make that call....he had a good life.

So glad Mr. Charlie had your family; he was certainly loved. And so nice that he worked to help Ted with his social life, too.

Sorry that the end came...
