Most Beautiful Songs Ever Written

David Nelson says "Ripple". Hard to argue. But I might throw out there "Hallelujah", "Harvest Moon" and maybe "Imagine" also.

Hey Ateix. Looks like you accidentally posted a link to the Carcass classic 'Manifestation Of Verrucose Urethra', which I believe is about a particularly nasty infection of the penis.

But even if God is all knowing, doesn't God "only know" all there is to know?

No. If you say that God only knows what I'd be without you, that means that he knows nothing else.

Ave Maria ( Ellens Third Song )

This has always been the most beautiful and moving  piece of art, composed by Schubert...for me !  As a child I would hear it in church accompanied by the violin and it moves me to tears every time I hear it..to this very day.

I love to hear it in Latin, it is hauntingly beautiful and brings back many a memory of my childhood, we did a study semester on the lyrics and song  history when I attended Catholic school. Here is a bit of that interesting history compiled by Wiki, but if you delve furthur you would be surprised how interesting the lyrics are.

Blues, I don’t agree with Street Hassle. I think that Dirt may be a more apt choice.

It's all about what speaks to one's heart, BK.

There's no right or wrong.

You have to admit, though, that Dirt may be the most beautiful song on that album. I think that you’ve been wooed by the background singing in Street Hassle. It is lovely, but nothing like Dirt.

You’re the one bitching about it, so it seems like your rules.

someone needs his binky

It's been a long time since I've been spoken to you
Was it the right time?
Your current troubles and you know they'll get much worse
I hope you know how much I enjoyed them
You're a pig of a person, there's a justice in this world
Hey, how about this?
Your lack of conscience and your lack of morality
Well, more and more people know all about it

We sat around the other night, me and the guys,
Trying to find the right word
That would best fit and describe you and people like you
That no principle has touched no principles baptized
How about that?
Who'd eat shit and say it tasted good
If there was some money in it for him
Hey, you remember that song by this guy from Texas
Whose name was Bobby Fuller?
I'll sing it for you it went like this
I fought the law and the law won
I fought the law and the law w

Sadly Beautiful - Paul Westerberg

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FKg0mNuWBp4

From the very first day that you were born
To the very last time you waved and honked your horn
Had no chance at all to watch you grow
Up so sadly, beautiful
Up so sadly, beautiful

Baby needs a brand new pair of eyes
Cause the ones you got now see only goodbyes
Had no chance at all to let you know
Oh so sadly, beautiful
Sadly, beautiful

Well you got your father's hair
And you got your father's nose
But you got my soul
Sadly, beautiful

From the very last time you waved and honked your horn
To a face that turned away pale and worn
Had no chance at all to let you know
You left me sadly, beautiful
Left me sadly, beautiful
Sadly, beautiful
So sadly
So sadly

the ones that literally cover me in goosebumps and put me to tears.. and to me, those songs are ever changing depending on where I am in life..

Jim Croce's whole catalogue. Not sure if it's because Jim's music was the only music my old man ever played or that his music was that poignant. I still have all his records on vinyl.
