Monsanto cancels construction on new plant

Forums:

My father in law was a long time Monsanto employee, and consultant after he retired. He worked as an Electrical Engineer. Speaking with him on Fathers Day, he mentioned that Monsanto (now owned by Bayer) has canceled construction on the new plant they are building in Louisiana to make the herbicide Dicamba. He said the plant is 97% complete and they have spent 1.4 billion on this project, and it has been overwhelmed by problems during construction with the contractors whe were hired for the project. There is so much money tied up in this new construction that it was soaking up the money for other projects. Now they're pulling the plug and are going to be cannibalizing the plant to use on other projects. I thought I would spread the good news since I didnt see anything posted here.

Nice whenever one of our country's, I mean the worlds legal poison death brokers loses a couple drops from their bucket.

So what are they going to do with the existing structure? Didn't see anything about that in the article.

hope those nazi scum are abolished

Timpy: "Bayer AG operates a manufacturing plant in Luling, which was undergoing a major expansion to being producing dicamba products."

It's an existing plant that currently is operational...this was just an expansion.

^Sorry, I should say "expansion structure". After over 1 bil they have must have a largest expansion wing. What are they doing with that?

A few more drops from their bucket gone.
