MMJ officially designated as a "jam band"

Troll thread!

More like a Cheez-Whiz band.

Why is this poster a symbol of the official designation?

people like festivals...

They really grow mushrooms like that in Scranton, PA?

I thought that was already cemented when they played Lockn last summer.

Perhaps so.

The Lockn gig was indeed the official designation moment.

Hopefully the new album is super polarizing like Evil Urges was, and the jambanders go somewhere else.

This definitely isn't the band you're looking for

Worst venue ever.

What do you call a Jam Band that can't jam?

Sham Band?

I saw MMJ at Bonarroo and Mtn Jam, different years, but both were over a decade ago.

Herbal Dave is somehow even cornier than Java Dave.

Somebody get dude an americano.

Oooh, recycling the coffee schtick.  Good one, Marthra, the sham zoner.

That lineup looks nauseating. Just terrible.

It's the obvious play, isn't it Java Dave?

I suppose I could start narrating your posts in a National Geographic-style voiceover; as if everything you posted was the fascinating behavior of a gorilla, or some other hairy primate. Would that be more appropriate?

Chaka Kahn is playing with Lettuce?

That seems a bit odd.

It's all good, Mark.  I'm enjoying Mardi Gras pints and grub at the local brewery, catching up with old friends after spending the last five weeks mostly visiting with my parents while they stayed with my sister and we nursed my mom back to health.  Today, they are safely back home, celebrating their 64th wedding anniversary.  For that I am eternally grateful.

I hope you are enjoying Fat Tuesday with your family and having a good day.

Here we see a group of the elusive Cross River gorillas, rarely observed in the wild. The shy animals usually flee at the slightest hint of human presence.

You're kind of a mess, aren't you Mark?

Did I hurt your feelers?

You're probably stuck at home on diaper duty, and a little sleep-deprived.

Hang in there, man.  I'm pulling for you.

I'm not a mess at all, Java Dave. I just think the ape-like picture you posted of yourself when you started you own birthday thread was hilarious.

All in good in fun, buddy. Have another pint.

>>>>You're probably stuck at home on diaper duty, and a little sleep-deprived.

some Creekhead level jabs. Children are the worst!

Let's see, lol, no interest at all in the four headliners......

Hotel rates just doubled......

Gone are the days...

You don't have to like the headliners. One of the six bands covering each of the headliner bands might come thru with the uptempo magic.

Denial is the first sign, Mark, not to mention you have Poolboy as your wingman.

Good night and good luck.

How many times you gonna check out of this thread, Java Dave?

A silverback runs through the group, pounding his chest in a lively display. Scientists theorize this behavior is the beta's attempt to impress the alpha silverback, and win favor among the females.

>Herbal Dave is somehow even cornier than Java Dave.

Somebody get dude an americano.<

i lol'd.

jd went with the anti-breeder jealousy track

Java Dave tries, and that's what's important.

Obviously it's difficult to procreate when nobody will have sex with you.

Sham Band.

Saw MMJ in Asheville last November...

First time I've had a chance of seeing them. Show was f'n awesome!

But, a ham bland?  No way...

Ahhhhh since Mtn Jam is now a Pop fest, seems that Peach fest has claimed the "Fat Old White Guy Meat In Yer Seat Fest" niche.  2 nites of Panic; no Phish/Trey/SCI/Keller.  Half the price of Lockn & 1/4 the distance away from home.  Woot!  I'm buying tix to this.  'Bout the only thing I won't be able to endure is Rusted Root & Moonalice . . .

FUCKKKKK - $65 "fees" for 2 tix?  Ouch!  Glad I don't attend too many festies these days (also going to Wilco's Solid Sound in N Adams MA to burnish my Hipster Cred - also I like many of the bands . . . )

Oh yeah, no Avett Bros - yay! - those "Fratboy Pop Faux Americana" bands (Lumineeers, Mumford, Avetts) were always a staple @ Warren's fests . . .

Also like the idea of this being in a real venue as opposed to a muddy field - far less chance of getting a boner shoved towards my ass by some x/e/molly-d out Spunion  . . .
