MLB ok with pot

Forums:

I guess they aren't concerned about someone being 'impaired' while throwing fastballs. Don't let him behind the wheel. though...zero tolerance for that.

It certainly doesn't impair you more than alcohol but you're legal to drive after consuming 'some' alcohol just not too much.  But you can't admit to recently having puffed kind bud or your ass is going to jail and car impounded.  Not a fair trade off imo.

I wish employers would take THC off the panel as well. It makes it a pain in the ass to make employment moves. I'm hoping this MLB update is the beginning of the end for thc testing. MLB has also updated on Opioid policy...treatment instead of punishment. Interestingly as I scanned the article it mentioned testing for Synthetic THC?

It's fairly comical to me that MLB, the oldest/crustiest/most out-of-touch league, is the first to go with this.

So, the reason this came about was the opioid overdose of Angels starting pitcher Tyler Skaggs, who died during this previous season.

Not a good look for MLB to have it’s young stars dying from opioid overdoses like the rest of the country. So MLB goes to the players union and asks what they can do to make sure that this doesn’t happen again.

Well, the union says, maybe if you let the players smoke pot, they won’t feel the need to overdose on oxycotton candy.

OK, that sounds reasonable, says MLB, since weed is legal in many states now anyway.

And that’s how and why that all happened.

The Giants could set the standard with Garcia's Cannabis Cafe at Oracle Park.  If they sell booze at the park, why not weed?

I doubt the Yankees will be starting the Seventh Inning Schmee any time soon.

NHL doesn't test for it Jay

Id rather they just allow it but no commercial sales at the ballpark

Fantastic news, feds take notice. But you still may wanna leave your stash at home when playing the rangers or astros.

Good news, hope this means MLB managers can also smoke pot now.

I know a MLB manager who was too paranoid  to buy his own and would delegate to someone he could trust...

Id like to see the umps puffing too personally.  Why? Because to a point smoking pot enhances your performance , focus and judgment.  Something they are getting completely wrong when it comes to driving while high..

Buy me some peanuts and an eighth of Green Crack,

I don't care if I ever get back.

Better Green than Greenies.
