I bought tickets for Billy Gibbons for house of blues in Orlando 11-6
I asked my wife last week to see why our tickets have not arrived yet
She never called
I realized yesterday morning 11-7 that the concert was close and I went to look and saw I missed it. I called ticket bastard and they told me I opted for the phone tickets.
I have never opted for this and never will. I pay the $2-3 for US mail for my stub so I can add them to my collection.
After a half hour of bitchin they refunded me $22.50 for service fees.
I know it is about 90% my fault I missed it but they were also (he admitted) they are supposed to alert me a day prior to the show on my phone but they did not have my number.
I don't really even mind I lost out on $58 but I did miss Billy Gibbons. I saw him a few years back and I really had a blast.
I missed a Les Claypool show about 6 years ago because of a tropical storm but that is it.

Gotta put 'em on the wall
Gotta put 'em on the wall calendar. I do that even for shows I'm just considering attending.

I put them on my phone
I put them on my phone calendar as soon as I buy tickets. That also helps prevent double booking yourself.

I have almost done that 6
I have almost done that 6 times this year; but the last time was not my fault.
I was in the hospital when I realized what I was about to miss
I think it was 10/3 around 2pm when I realized that the Jorma show might be in a couple of days.
4pm, I call the box office and they break the news to me that the Jorma show is actually that night. So I exchange that seat for a Carl Palmer show, which was un believable.
That Jorma show was not meant to be. I had the last seat in the house...
