I hesitate to jump in on
I hesitate to jump in on political stuff on the Zone, but just consider this, please.
While I agree this is a "Midnight Moscow Mitch" shit show, I also take some issue with "It’s about preventing information from becoming known and seen by the American public."
Seriously? With all the 24 hour news outlets on this thing, there's NOTHING that will be unreported. It just won't be available for convenient viewing live. And given the house hearings viewership wasn't through the roof, I wonder if it matters much. I think Mitch is making a big PR mistake with this schedule, but nothing will go unreported or unknown. This attempt is feeble out of the gate, and the appearance of what he's trying to do may hurt them more than the lack of televised hearings during the day.
America will have the info. Hell, we have it now. Not sure anything will sway many voters now. The only voters who matter most right now are in that room for 12 hours. And hopefully soon, some of them will then feel the pressure from the public.
