Mickey talks Cornell on 40th Anniversary

Forums:

Great to hear all the comments and opinions on the magic of that night.

All told, the longevity of spring ’77 and the Cornell gig specifically doesn’t surprise Hart. “We didn’t know where were going, nor did we care,” says Hart, “but we knew we were evolving, and that was good.” Not that he’s especially familiar with the May 8, 1977 concert. “People love this, obviously,” he says. “I’ve never heard it. I’ve never listened to it. But from what I hear, the deduction is this: It’s spirit music.”

He should give it a listen and speak more astutely about it.

I find it hard to believe that Mickey has never listened to the show at least once.

mickey's too cool to do custie shit.

So, there's really no story, just an appearance by Mickey.

Mickey is a total putz and should STFU

Thread title is misleading.

"Mickey Says He Hears That People Like Cornell" would have been more accurate.

You guys remember when Mickey was on that whole "You like the way you feel right now? Huh? Do ya?!? Well go out and do something with it! Go out and do something, you fucking burnouts! Yeeeeah!" thing?

That was kind of annoying.

Everything about Mickey is annoying.

I hate that his hands are one of the consistently most interesting post Jerry.
