Meters shows in SF cancelled

Forums:

I thought I'd post this. I know a few people and maybe some zoners who were planning on going this weekend, including me.

Via The Meters:...

“Unfortunately Art Neville is unable to travel to San Francisco and perform with The Meters this weekend. He is currently under medical evaluation in New Orleans. We send our best to Art, His Family and all the fans.

It’s a very very tough decision to cancel any shows, but without Art, these shows would not be The Meters.”

So now E, you can go to that show in Napa.

On it, just bought my ticket.

Totally sucks about the meters, but they should really stop booking shows outside of New orleans with Art.

I didn't think was in good enough condition to be performing in public at the Funky Meters show at the fillmore last year, kinda depressing.

Peace to him and his family

Jeez, I hear Tom Petty postponed his Greek show tonight as well. Re-scheduled for Monday.

It must be something catching.

There's a free concert at SF Civic Center Plaza on Saturday.

>>The concert, comedy, and art festival is called ‘Peace, Music, and Laughter’ and will feature sets from Bay Area artists Michael Franti & Spearhead, Brothers Comatose, Malo, comedian Marga Gomez, and more.

The family-friendly event runs from 12 PM – 5 PM on Saturday August 26 and will be free of political speeches.

Sorry to hear about Art Neville, and whatever's going on with the Tom Petty band. Have fun where you're going, E.

The day at the Civic Center Plaza sounds like it'll be fun for people who want to be there, too.

Sorry to hear about both. Wife went to the Greek last night, she liked the show

but said she only knew one song.

Yes, she's a little out of touch on stuff like that.

Tom petty got greedy with his 3 nights at the Greek non-sense.

This 2 night Meters Fillmore cancelling is the real travesty here, people.

I was really looking forward to seeing zigaboo lay it down, been way too long.

damn....

Positive Health Vibes for Art <3
