Mayer reminds me of someone

Forums:

A month or so after my only D&C show (citifield) ~ just thinking of my impressions and I realize Mayer reminds me of Brent a little bit, especially early 80s Brent.

Not saying that he's copying Brent, it's not that he sounds like him..... it's more the approach & attitude ?

That bubbly aspect.

I don't know if the fact it took me 5 weeks to notice this, makes it more valid or less, but I won't be able to unsee it now.

It wouldn't be the first time everyone disagrees with me, we all have our own lens.

By the way

Hi everybody

:)

Also, I don't think I'll be going to see that band anymore, it was fun but... maybe if they play in my yard.

devil

Thanks for the link CB

^^^ in my yard...lol...same here...had to see them once....in local area ...once was prob enough

And, dont see resemblance musically, energy, etc at all...but, like you said...all differant vantage points we have...

The resemblance is the man is a prankster. I'll give him that..

I think they share(d) a certain carbonated quality.

It's not a musical resemblance but maybe some kind of energy... not their personal energy though...

Again, it took me over a month to notice it after the show, trying to remember what he was like, and I noticed it. Then I went and looked at a youtube and could still see it. Almost like an expression, or a way of expression.

It's pretty subtle, I will admit that. Like a flash... but quite distinct, so I just thought I'd mention it.

Lol. The man is a spoiled rich kid and life only got better from there. Kudos to him.

Brent a prankster?

The only resemblance between the 2 is that they both learned a shit load of GD songs in a short period of time.  Completely different energy, stage presence, interaction....
