hey jambone, thanks for the info. i just caught the whole interview. jm talks for almost 15 min. the focus being much on jmr's talent on guitar (claption has praised jm) and with songwriting. jm hopes to be remembered as a songwriter.
he answers cr's questions fully. in depth. he is a talker.
jm comes across fairly well imo. he often gets lost during his long answers. i was impressed by jm's sincerity and self effacing personality.
jm: "gd is part of my life for the rest of his life" cr inquires about jm touring with whats-left of the grateful dead . jm talks about deadheads mostly and a bit about the band members. it was interesting to hear his take, but i was not flattered by his response. it sounded to me like he is smarting by the rejection of some dh's.
jm: (on jerry). "most alive dead person that has ever lived and died".
re: perceptions via media, jm says "womanizer has always bothered" me. "it is a complete distortion of who i am." jr make a good case that his character was unfairly distorted by the hollywood machine.
