The Mavericks at the Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center were absolutely fabulous tonight.
(Broke my heart not taking my father, he loves any variation of Cuban inspired music), but the show was sold out and I could only get on ticket.
Raul Malo and Jerry Garcia are the best male vocalist, I've ever seen live. Raul is special.
Th best seat in the house, to my new favorite band.
I was surprised Raul came out solo acoustic and sang Bob Dylan's "The Times they are a Changing", then into the title track from the new CD "Brand New Day."
What a show!
Al Night Long!!

The best band in the land.
The best band in the land. Saw them for the first time in 1993 in Chicago and see them any chance I get since. Raul Malo is up there with the greatest voices ever and I personally put him in my top 5 ever. Eddie Perez is a badass guitarist, showman, and can out dud anyone this side of Gram Parsons.

The Mavericks added a bunch of more shows to play this year, including The Space in Westbury -12/8 & a couple down in Florida.
