I saw Clapton in concert Saturday night.  Pretty good show.  The old man still has a strong voice and good guitar licks.  Short set but can't complain too much.  He played Smile for the first time since 1974.

Show Notes:

EC's first concert of 2022. The show was announced on 14 February 2022. "Smile" made it's first appearance in a set list in 48 years and was dedicated to Franky Brooker, the wife of Eric's friend and fellow musician, Gary Brooker, who passed away on February 19, 2022. The song was last performed at the Hammersmith Odeon, London on 5 December 1974.

El Nino, which one is your wife's nephew? The violinist who doesn't suck, or the pianist who doesn't really either? The violinist is so good. I'm still listening, stuck in the quartet for a while. I just fast forwarded to the end; I love how happy the musicians look! Thanks for the link.

And thanks to Noodler for the Balafon concert. Wow!

I love that I keep hearing music that's new to me.
