yeah, love it, have had it in various formats forever.

I actually pulled out the acoustic and noodled around a little bit while recording, was sloppy as all hell, but kind of fun too.  I never play acoustic anymore (it shows), but what the hell, even posted it on facebook.  Now a buddy dared me, he'd record an improv tomorrow if I recorded another one, so game on!  Let slopfest begin!  Perhaps one day may actually learn how to play guitar again!

Bloomfield Kooper Stills Super Session

Super Session, that's a good one. I don't think I have it anymore.

These days I rarely listen to music if it's not being played live in the room I'm in at the time, but I clicked on this and easily got through both sets.

I sure would have loved to have been in that room when those guys were playing.

Recorded myself jamming on Miles Davis's "All Blues", then put on the Best of Zony Mash, followed by some Andy Milne...

Miles Davis - a bit on the high side.

This morning I am listening to Julian Lage's latest album Modern Lore.

He kind of makes me think about what Ornette Coleman would have sounded like if Ornette had played guitar.

Ateix recommended that I check out Julian Lage. Glad I did.

I saw him at Hipster Fest last summer playing a set with Nels Cline. Thanks to Nels, I became a Julian Lage fan.

I'm going to see Julian in Burlington with Margaret Glaspy in May. Very much looking forward to it.

And good morning to you, Slacrates. You think Corey Connors will choke today?

Have to say - Modern Lore sounds better every time I listen to it.

New Ry Cooder album coming out in May. I bet Hoover is excited for that.

Ry is playing a gig in Burlington at the end of June. I'm looking forward to that too. I have not seen Ry Cooder live since the early 1980's.

Marisa Monte - Rose and Charcoal.

HOT TUNA - Steady as She Goes.

Leathervest: The Musical

Did you listen to all those this morning or are you trying to sell us records?

I'm no record seller. That's a jazz trader.

"March is here- what are you listening to?"

Do you use Discogs, Alias? Pretty fun site.

Careful about the Marketplace. Real slippery slope, dangerous if you mix with imbibement.

I use it occasionally when I am looking at what records someone has but I have never bought from there.

You can glean real nuggets of info from some of the numbers reports they crunge (re: inflation of wax prices, trends, global concentrations of buyer/seller esp in regard to particular genres).

Buying on there can be really hit or miss. I'm about 50/50 with nice successes on there. Usually fun, at least.

I'm more into trading than buying.

the ignorant ateix on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 – 01:16 pm

I'm still trying to figure out what the fuck I'm talking about.

You know I only fuck the best, most suggestive album art covers.

I have all the secret Whitesnake albums that they pulled, somewhere in storage, you know. Very phallic.

The best.

Huh. Doesn't seem like something I've written before, but..?

Still, what a creepy thing to post in a thread titles "March is here- what are you listening to?"

Kind of weird. But ok, Rr6.

It does strike me a bit as "cry for help," fyi.

Saw Chrome last night, Helios Creed has still got it. Gloriously loud psychedelic chaos. Easing my ringing brain with the new Dungen/Woods EP, Myths 003. Exactly how you would think it sounds, so good.

We woke up early and watched the sun come over the horizon getting baked and listening to Nashville Skyline and then Katy Lied. A very good morning it was.

Sweet.

Wet Tuna. New to me avant folkies, GD meets NYC indie sounds. Here they do I know You Rider. Beautifully fluid guitars, guy who sounds like Dean Wareham singing dry and wobbly, beat machine, and some fuzzy space. Sounds better than it reads. Good morning music.

Dungen & Woods collaboration, Mythos 003.  More of that beautiful airy psych-pop sound you'd associate with both bands.  Sweet.
