MacBook Battery Dying?

Forums:

The LED light on the adapter no longer lights up when plugged in.  I do get the the little lightning bolt indicator on-screen and the screen is brighter when plugged in, but the battery life indicator keeps heading toward "E".

Anyone know if there's a point where AC hookup stops working?

Weird but I just figured out how to change the battery on my Pink Floyd Pulse box set LED blinking light. sometimes the internet CAN serve a purpose!

lol

My daughter just got hers replaced by warranty, less than a year old.

Could also be an adapter problem rather than a battery problem. If you click on the battery icon at the top, is there a message there?

This company makes great replacement parts for all of your apple needs and at a reasonable price. Been using them for years, their hard drives rock as well as any battery/cables/memory, most of the products exceed Mac specs. No affiliation to the company but have been a customer for at least 15 years. Good Luck

Ha.  "Click" stopped working years ago.  Can still "Tap", tho.

And yes; there is a message.  "Replace Soon".  Thanks.

Also, it actually pulled an 80% charge, albeit at twice the time a full charge used to take.

The wife says there's a newer machine (MacNote) with a dead battery that Da Boy burned through somewhere in the house.

I think I'll replace that battery.  This F'ers relatively heavy, daily shlep-wise.  Been dropped and garnered a few cracks, too.

Thanks for ref, Jeff.

Happened to mine a long time ago.
