I'm wondering if any zoners are familiar with a book called Genocide and Vendetta? It’s one I’ve wanted to read for several years now, but is out of print and apparently very expensive. This book details the history of the extermination campaign against the Covelo Indians in Round Valley, or more palatably known as the Round Valley Wars.
This is stuff I like to research, and this book is known to have some very specific information, names, places, families, dates, that have otherwise been written out of history. When the book was published, I guess the descendants of some of the folks named bought most all of the print run and destroyed them. It was written by Estelle beard and published by the University of Oklahoma in 1981.
anyways, if in the slim chance anyone here has heard of this book and knows of a digital copy or a transcription, I would really appreciate that.
