I don't know him very well, but not surprised based upon the vibe I got being near him around town, his comments that occasionally surfaced online or in the paper, and talk around town of his past.

Having said that, I've known one of his sons for quite some time.  Mostly through pickup basketball from way back when and more recently seeing him skiing on the mountain.  I can tell there's a tension inside of him that's likely related to issues regarding his father, but ultimately sense that he's a very good kid and feel for his plight in navigating the waters.
