the lighthouse

IDK how i missed this movie when it came out, but i only recently watched it while binging A24 films. i guess when TV started getting real good i kinda tuned out of movies for a little bit and missed a lot of the really great and bizzare A24 movies that have been coming out over the past decade or so.
the lighthouse is an absolute standout. so far its probably my favorite A24 film besides the yorgos lanthimos catalog, and easily one of my favorite films of all time. totally singular and unforgettable. if you have not seen the lighthouse, do so ASAP. the other robert eggers films and A24 horror in general are fine, but the lighthouse is on a total different level. IMO this film measures up to david lynch's best films.
