Monty Hall, RIP

Monty Hall, Co-Creator and Host of ‘Let’s Make a Deal,’ Dies at 96

Monty Hall, the genial host and co-creator of “Let’s Make a Deal,” the game show on which contestants in outlandish costumes shriek and leap at the chance to see if they will win the big prize or the booby prize behind door No. 3, died at his home in Beverly Hills, Calif., on Saturday. He was 96.

A daughter, Joanna Gleason, confirmed his death. She said the cause was heart failure.

“Let’s Make a Deal” had its premiere in late 1963 and, with some interruptions, has been a television phenomenon ever since.

RIP Monty

I have a crisp $100 bill if you can pull a dildo out of your purse.............

WFMU, a great free-form FM Radio Station in Jersey City, NY has a pretty new performance venue on their 1st floor that they called "Monty Hall" because it's located on Montgomery Street. They have a nice autographed Press photo of Monty in the lobby. My understanding is that they were ordered to stop using that moniker, so they began calling it 'Montgomery Hall'. So it goes...

FMU is in JC?  Thought they were in Newark or one of the Oranges.  I get notices for Monty Hall shows, but never for anyone I've heard of.

I take that back.  Got one now for Luna.  But it's sold out.

RIP to a guy who super entertained my lonely kid self

They don't get Metallica or Bon Jovi, sorry

I've never seen Jon Langford in this particular band configuration, but I'm a big fan of all the bands I've seen him with, The Mekons, Waco Bros, Sadies, etc. This is likely a show not to be missed.

I believe FMU started out in Upsala College in East Orange , moved to JC but their transmitter is still in East Orange...

John Langford, you say?

Chris Forsyth supporting that Luna bill. They gonna fucking rip in a room like that.
