This Friday, March 20, starting at 8PM ET, tune into a FREE BROADCAST of the show on The Relix Channel and experience B.B. King’s legendary feel performed by Bob Margolin, Bobby Rush, Buddy Guy, Christone “KINGFISH” Ingram, David Hidalgo, Derek Trucks, Ivan Neville, Jimmie Vaughan, John Scofield, Little Steven, Robert Randolph, Shemekia Copeland, Susan Tedeschi, Tony "TC" Coleman, Val B. As a cherry on top, the house band showcases Grammy-winning producer Steve Jordan (John Mayer, Boz Scaggs, Keith Richards), renowned session bassist Pino Palladino (John Mayer, The Who, D'Angelo), legendary organist Rev Charles Hodges (Al Green, Willie Mitchell), Isaiah Sharkey (John Mayer, D'Angelo), and more.

Thanks Sigmund and Judit for the reminders to catch tonight's stream.

Looks like I haven't missed much of it.

John, did you the edit that the times in Luck Reunion are CDT. Still good stuff ahead.

...And I don't know a soul who's not been battered
I don't have a friend who feels at ease
I don't know a dream that's not been shattered or driven to its knees
But it's alright, it's alright, for we live so well, so long
Still, when I think of the road we're traveling on
I wonder what's gone wrong, I can't help it I wonder what's gone wrong..

....We come in the ages' most uncertain hours and sing an American tune
And it's alright, oh it's alright, it's alright, you can be forever blessed
Still tomorrow's gonna be another working day and I'm trying to get some rest
That's all I'm trying, to get some rest

Thank you, Mr. Simon

......With Woody Harrelson???

Hey Judit,

I guess I was looking forward and not realizing how much has already happened (would've been nice to have seen/heard Lucinda Williams, but I'm not complaining).

So, I went away for awhile. Who did I miss between  Margo and Sourdough?

Double and just a sensible  seemingly appropriate short video

Neil!

It's exactly the kind of place I like to imagine myself in when I'm meditating.

or social distancing...

Good evening Mark (and Hello to you too, Jaz),

Mark: I've been listening via wireless headphones while performing a variety of household chores, so I haven't been following the proceedings too closely.  It seems that the musicians have generally performed as advertised: Kurt Vile, Sunny War (some of which I really enjoyed), Paul Simon (American Tune, then an Everly Bros tune that I can't remember, which included Edie Brickell and Woody Harrelson), then I think there was a man on guitar and woman singing harmony who were not listed, then Jewel (which was quite touching IMHO), and perhaps something else?

Willie's still got it.

Long live Willie!

Thanks Johnny.  Looks like I missed a couple acts that I wanted to catch.

Yeah. I love Willie Nelson.     Lukas is pretty cool too.

That was sweet.

Who is this girl at the end?

I think I am a fan.

That really was a wonderful, intimate, touching set of performances.

Not sure who that girl is, but I'm wondering if she's Edie Brickell's daughter?

I think that was Lulu Simon, daughter of Paul Simon and Edie Brickell (thanks, Google).

I think they called her Lulu, but I can't find her on the net. I really enjoyed Lukas.

Edit - well there ya go. Thanks Johnny.

I also like Micah - he's a very versatile musician and can play almost anything. He seems like another really sweet Nelson.

Agreed.

I enjoyed that broadcast.

Neil sponsored by water.

Willie can't wait to get on the road again.

I really enjoyed Shovels and Rope. I think that is what they were called. The gal pulled out the accordian but never really played it.

Just returned home and am checking out the BB King tribute (I hope that I haven't missed Buddy Guy).

You haven't and he rips it up. Best Buddy I've seen in 20 years.

^You're right!

The Cheese was incredible.   I was a big fan 20+ yrs ago, then they sorta lost it. Went techno and lost me.  This show from a yr and a half ago is as good as the old days.

Thanks for the reminder, MarkD.

It turns out we can still listen to the show from the beginning, which I'm doing now.
