Leslie Mendelson

Forums:

How about a big shout out for Leslie Mendelson!

She has some fans here that are following what she's up to; both with Kimock and her solo career.

Leslie played a wonderful show tonight here on home her on Long Island at the Grey Horse Tavern in Bayport. Promoting her latest release "Love & Murder" and regrouping after her tour with Steve Kimock.

I was sitting next to her father, who was beaming with pride.

A very nice set of music ending with Blue Bayou.

It's was my first time I ever spoke to her, she's really nice. I went full custie, had her autograph her CD for me and got a hug.

Leslie & her band (Andy Hess on bass, Steve Mcewan on guitar) will be performing at the Boulton Center in Bayshore, NY  9/8 and some free shows in Portland Ore. this July.

Check her out, if you haven't already. Her band is very good.

I'm glad you made the show. I was full on planning to go, but took my kids to the carnival instead.  Thought I could swing both, but when I saw my kids having all that fun, there was no way I was going to let that end early.

But so cool for Leslie to be coming full circle and playing the area she grew up in.

Next time.

Hi there. The weather was a perfect day for carnival. You got out voted.

Remember Leslie will back at the Boulton Center (as solo artist) with this band on 9/8. It's not yet listed on the Boulton web site as well as her's. "Stay Tuned"

lol

I've never seen a show at a YMCA.

It's 200 year old landmark 200 seat theater. With the best sound system on the east coast.

200
I like that.

I saw her with Bobby's cowboy band and thought she was good.

Have fun.

Thanks CB. Boulton Center could be the next Magoos Pizza Parlor.

Bobby Vega had a beer behind the speaker, and his suitcase as well. I don't blame him. To leave everything you got on the road in a hotel room. Screw that.

Tonight is the MendleFalco show.

IMG_5104.JPGHave fun, Trailhead!

Hi Trailhead!!

I was just going to mention that.  I hope you're going & to see you. I'll be at the same seat.

I can see folks dancing.

Planning on going with the mrs. I hope the box office still has tickets

Plenty of tickets left, just checked.

I'll see you there.

Sorry I missed you guys Trailhead.  If you were there, I hope you guys enjoyed the show.  There's another show tonight (Blue Oyter Cult/ Brothers)

I thought Leslie put on a great set, considering she had a little cold. Her band, Andy Falco & Andy Hess sounded terrific in that room.

Played most of her last albums songs and some new tunes too. Love her.

The Falco Brothers were outstanding a two hour set. Making it the longest show at the Boulton Center this year.

Andy Falco is a very good guitar player. I was very impressed. Pretty much did it all really, even had him and his brother playing duel lead guitars at the climax of the show 'ala Allman Brothers'.

Andy played "My Old School" from Steely Dan', for Walter Becker, which was fitting.

And they brought out Leslie and closed the show with Friend of the Devil

That's all I remember...

Nice pics Bluelight.

I did attempt to find you.  but no luck we were in the 400 section.  Not a bad seat in that house.

Great show of hometown hero artists returning to old ground.

Thanks for the compliment.

Before the show I went the upstairs lobby (I was running late), and nothing was going on there, so I went down to my seat. I was engaged in conversation with an very interesting older man, who lives near by me, who I never met before. My father is usually that interesting older gent. But they had one there waiting for me already.

It was a fun night, with a very strong communal feel. We were blessed.
