Forums:

The Thursday TXR show is now sold out, Wednesday available. I think that this will be an amazing line-up, Scotty was absolutely on fire w JRAD last weekend and will be more than up to the task of sparring with Scofield.

I saw a great show by LaMP a few weeks ago. Funky as shit!

Russ Lawton - Scott Metzger - Ray Paczkowski

I have one ticket to the Wednesday show and one ticket to the Thursday show for sale.

Face + fees, of course. You can contact me at [email protected] if you are interested.

These should be excellent shows.  Hi Zooey!

Hi, CR! Did you enter the PTBM lottery? Any charges today?

Hopefully there's a stream.  This lineup looks worthy of staying up for.

The kind folks at deadheadland have streamed most of the recent Terrapin events on FB, here's a link

https://www.facebook.com/Deadheadland/

(haven't seen any official $ streams)

I was rejected PTBM lottery :-(

Me too sad

Rumors this stream is working, they just went on break, last song was "Don't ease me in"

Didn't try to stream the Wed. show, but the set II list looks near perfect. Would like to hear it but couldn't find it on Deadheadland or the showreels on mixlr site listed above. Can anybody hook me up? Thanks.

Wasn't able to find a stream yesterday (and I searched pretty hard), rumors are the show wasn't sold out,  while tonights is, so;

Nugs is having a $ stream of tonights show, so very likely there could be free streams off of that...

Dang, where is the TXR thumb drive with sbd????

Fantastic show at TXR last night! I loved it! Sco and Krasno were locked and loads all night!

These look hot.  Hope they sound as good as they look.

I paid the $10 for the official stream last night, Scofield was smoking hot, and Phil was all smiles!

set 1 opener (music starts after ~ 7 mins)

Set 2 opener (music starts after ~ 11 mins)

The opening Viola Lee Blues was easily 20 minutes long and featured some great jazz interludes as well as balls out Rock and Roll. That was worth $70 of the $70 ticket alone LOL!

there was a killer jason crosby fiddle-fired me and my uncle the first night first set that isn't on the setlist above or setlist fm

Krasno?

Sounds pretty good. Scofield is one of my favorite "friends".

dead fusion

Woz, agree on the Viola. I listed it as Viola v1 > Jazzy Jam > v2 > Spacy Jam > V3. Scofield was the most aggressive that Ive ever seen him in a Phil & Friends setting, at least at the start of the first set.

I actually left at break, really had a big problem with all of the Alex Koford singing. Scott Metzger is a very capable singer and they gave West LA Fadeaway to Alex???

Listening now on showreel - is the PA at TXR really that bad now? Instruments are coming through just fine, albeit a little bassy (better than the opposite!), but the vocals, which go through the PA, sound terrible. My speakers are just fine, thank you, and I doubt the streaming process preferentially gives the vocals a fuzzy, muddy sound like what I am hearing.

This is a problem at a bunch of local venues here - the McDonald, the Crystal, and the Roseland last time I was there. I know the owners try to make the PA last as long as possible, but c'mon guys - the music is suffering and patrons like me are no longer willing to tolerate it.

It's go to be the stream, the vocals sounded fantastic live in the Grate room.

Glad to hear it - what I said still goes for those other places though.

Is there anywhere to re-watch these shows or a full audio recording?

The Mixlr vocals were streamed too loud, thus muffled sound.  Enjoyable anyway...  Phil/Stu tonight 6pm in tent!!! Go Phil.

when first watching the stream, I thought Sco was Jimmy Herring at first, with the ball cap and white beard. I kept saying to myself, boy....Jimmy has lost it, this is terrible. When they zoomed in I saw it was Sco. That explains everything.

How is it that the Dark Star night didnt get webcasted or taped?  I asked the staff @ TXR if there was a recording made and they said no.  Guessing there was a malfunction of some sort. :( Anyone have a recording of the first night??  There is a recording of the first set on archive that sounds great but ends at the start of the 2nd set.  Anyone got a complete recording of 1/23?
