Hi Howard- Great pictures!!!

I am seeing this act Nov. 26 in El Cajon. I can't get a confirmation that Warren is playing at that show. I sure hope he does . Anyone aware of these Last Waltz shows ever happening without Warren?

Warren Haynes has all the dates on his website, so can't imagine him not being there leading the whole thing.

In for St. Augustine next Friday.

Warren will be there. You have a good shot at getting JRR, aka Robbie Robertson at an LA area show. Taj Mahal is on the end of the tour dates and I don't know when Don Was will be there, probably tomorrow in Huntington, now that Weir has wrapped up the Wolf Brothers tour. The highlight for me is Kathleen Edwards and Jamey Johnson. They kick ass on Evangeline. I love Emmy Lou Harris, this new arrangement is wonderful. Forever Young will transport you back to shuel, almost. Really good. Enjoy Markus. It's worth seeing them on more than one date.

Thanks Howard- I will most likely go to LA the following week (is that real that Jaime Robinson AKA Robbie Robertson) could really show or an educated guess? I saw this act 3 or 4 years ago and loved it although more Dave Malone would be nice.

Ken- The El Cajon/ San Diego date is not listed on the website which got me a wee bit nervous.

It's just a good educated guess Marcus. If Garth was going to show up, it would have been Saturday night. Garth showed up in Albany a few years ago, but Garth is not that mobile any longer. He is living in a local Ulster County Assisted Living facility and I hear he loves to receive fan mail. You can write Garth if you want, I can get you an address? Robbie Robertson is an LA slickster and it's my best guess, if he is going to go to any Last Waltz shows, it would be on the S.CA leg of the tour. Maybe Warren can drop his guitar strap during Further On Up The Road and JRR can kick right into a ripping lead. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=78gR3Dlj7l0

fuck yeah jamey

Man Egg El Cajon ? That's above and beyond the call of duty.

I thought it might be at that casino just outside of El Cajon but no

it's right in the heart of the beast.

Looking froward to the shows at the Fox in Oakland!

Eggman - the Magnolia event details for the Last Waltz does not list Warren.

According to the official Last Waltz 2022 website, there are three additional dates that were tacked onto the end of the tour following the 11/20 show in St. Peterburg, FL, https://blackbirdpresents.com/concert/the-last-waltz-tour-2022/ . There are two in Oakland at the Fox and the final night of the tour in Los Angeles at the Orpheum.

December 02, 2022 Fox Theater, Oakland, CA Warren Haynes, Jamey Johnson, Taj Mahal, Kathleen Edwards, Anders Osborne, Dave Malone, and more

December 03, 2022 Fox Theater, Oakland, CA Warren Haynes, Jamey Johnson, Taj Mahal, Kathleen Edwards, Anders Osborne, Dave Malone, and more

December 04, 2022 The Orpheum Theatre, Los Angeles, CA Warren Haynes, Jamey Johnson, Taj Mahal, Kathleen Edwards, Anders Osborne, Dave Malone, and more

Warren does not have the above (3) dates on his website. There is no mention of any shows in San Diego. What Last Waltz SD date are you referring to Marcus? Is that the one on the theatre link website with Scarlet Rivera? If yes, that is not the same tour. I'm sure it will be good. You will know all the songs, but that is not Warren. You should definitely go to LA for the tour finale on Sunday, 12/4. That's the one not to miss. According to TM, there are a ton of good seats available, no verified scalper resale BS (yet) and you can sit in the front row for a hefty face price of $293 or in the door in the balcony for $59. GO! If JRR doesn't play, he will be hanging backstage with Scorcese counting his stolen loot.

>>>>the El Cajon/ San Diego date is not listed on the website which got me a wee bit nervous.

Warren Haynes and Co. isn't the only troupe doing a Last Waltz and there isn't an "official" Last Waltz tour.  For example, there is a group of local musicians around here that do a Last Waltz every year at the Alberta Rose Theater.   Maybe the San Diego show is another group altogether?   Whoever is in it, seeing a group of good musicians doing a Last Waltz is becoming sort of a holiday tradition.

<<seeing a group of good musicians doing a Last Waltz is becoming sort of a holiday tradition>>

As much as I love the Last Waltz holiday tradition. I actually saw the Band play a concert live on Thanksgiving. Marcus did you go to this show with me in 1983? This was a few months after we saw Garcia play at the Chance. I know Roz was there. I think I also brought HassMan. It's tough night to get out and away from family. But it was so special, there was no way I was going to miss it.

The El Cajon date isn't this band. The show this year in New Orleans had Larry Campbell fill in for Warren, who was still recovering from his shoulder injury.

ExcelFuckinlent ! Thanks again Warren! Guys don't miss this if ya have a chance.

wow false advertising ....looks like I'm going to The Fox in Oakland

In for both nights at The Fox in Oakland. I should have figured when good seats were $40

Howard I was at that show as well as a few others at that restaurant in Kingston? Woodstock? Also They played a 4 song set for Spring Concert in the Tripping Fields in like 84 or 85. Remember Spring Concert in 1982 it was Papa John playing some awesome fiddle.

Marcus, You're recollections are different than my recollections. The Chance is a small 600 seat old Vaudeville theatre in lovely downtown Poughkeepsie. We saw Garcia play there, early and late shows on June 4, 1983. The Spring Weekend 1982 show was in the Tripping Fields, and it was the 3 Davids, Bromberg, Crosby and Mason, or maybe that was 1981 and 1982 was the Psychedelic Furs? If Papa John was there, I have a vague recollection of seeing him, I do not recall the year. My first Spring Weekend was 1979, in the quad between Capen & Scudder Halls we had Rick Danko, Richard Manuel and Friends. That was fun. We'll just have to chalk it all up to the sands of time. H2

Steady Rollin' Bob Margolin. My goodness.  Always great seeing him play.

<<Steady Rollin' Bob Margolin. My goodness.  Always great seeing him play.>>

I recognized Bob right away. The last time I saw Bob Margolin was at one of the Allman Brothers Beacon Theatre March residencies. I had not realized he was on the concert bill. I turned to my friend and said, "Bob Margolin??". His stage introduction at Proctors Theatre was great. Paraphrasing Warren, the only person here tonight that was at The Last Waltz, definitely the only person who was on-stage playing with Muddy Waters, please welcome..... He can play.

All of Warren's Last Waltz Show's have been pulled down off the Archive, They were  asked to be removed, Man they Sounded Great!!!  Sux..

Coyotte~

H2 I was saying in addition to The Chance we saw some shows The Band performed in a restaurant in Woodstock or might have been Kingston. I was living w Haas in 83 at Riverside when that show happened Thanksgiving 1983. Also my first Spring Gig in The Tripping Fields was 1982 and Papa John was on the bill. The show in 84 or 85 might actually only have been Rick Danko and a few other members of the Band .

Tim, are you still coming up to St. Augustine this evening?   I lost your cell number on my old phone, but just called your office and left a message with the receptionist with my number.   If you are coming, text me or give me a call.

Any other Zoners hitting the St. Augustine show?

I remember one of those early 80's shows from a club in Virginia Beach. It was Danko, Hudson, and Manuel. They played about an hour, some of it was solos and covers. The opening band was a local blues band that came out at the end and joined them for The Weight.

Ken, I will be there tonight with my wife, perhaps we can meet up. I have never been to this venue, we are staying at the St. George Inn around the corner from the Mill Top Tavern.

I went on Tuesday night. It was a really good show. I haven't seen Warren live in a few years, he is looking thinner than I recall. Good for him. I took my 12 year old nephew, he had a good time also.

Hey Fly High.  You picked a good neighborhood to stay and walk around in.  The nights of lights is kicking off tomorrow and downtown traffic will be a royal shit show.

I am out on the island 20 minute walk from the venue.  Just got back from a funeral in Lincolnville and not planning on going back over the bridge, but it will be cool to see you tonight.  I would recommend parking down by the lighthouse and walking 10 minutes down A1A to avoid the traffic coming in and out of the venue.  If you are feeling up for it, you could even walk from downtown, but it would be a hike.

We will be at our usual seats way up top.  Sec. 302, Row MM, Seats 145-147.  I will have a ball cap with a butterfly tree and a funky camo looking purple tie-dye hoodie.

Also, bring an empty plastic water bottle. They don't sell water by the bottle inside.

No

i fucked up my dates

couldnt reschedule flight

im in Kansas freezing my fuckin ass off

I don't know how the fuck you folks can deal with this shit

^Kansas? No idea

....Winter is easy in comparison

Fly High, we are here.  Show is undersold and they are moving everyone down to under the awning but we are still go up to our usual seats as posted above unless it is blocked off.

Usual spot blocked off, got down to third row on horn section side.  Good show so far

Fun show last night.  A celebration of classic Canadian-American Rock n Roll:

Fresh off Wolf Bros. tour, Don Was hanging out behind the congas:

Saw the Atlanta show too and thought it was good.   A little muddy at time with so many musicians but definitely kept my interest with the rotation and performances.   I liked that they didn't just keep it straight by the books an got out there on occasion, or even the little spanish moon tease in Mystery train was nice.

Jim, sorry to have missed you, we were on the balcony to your right dancing it up.  Let me know if you are hitting Jrad, Billy Strings or Weir and the orchestra.   It would be great to connect.  Also seeing Jojo solo in a few weeks.   More shows on my docket than I've seen in four years.

Well The show I saw in El Cajon was pretty good . I took my son who liked it. Albert Lee and Marc Ford played on a fair few tunes along with other guests. It was nothing compared to what I remember The Warren Last Waltz Band show was like in 2017.

I am really looking forward to The Fox in Oakland where Warren will be in the band Friday & Saturday and during the day on Saturday as long as there is no rain my sons club baseball team Santa Cruz Sluggers are Playing UC Berkeley's club team which would be an awesome added bonus.

Saw a local production called the Next Waltz on Friday.   I was impressed with the line up of local musical talent and it rivaled Warren's version I saw the previous week.   While Warren had more jams and stronger guitar work (no duh), this version had a different guest singer come out for each song, including the Band tunes.   Everyone of them knocked it out of the park and vocally it was better than the Warren production.

Recognized a few of the players from other bands, but it really opened my ears to a bunch of other great local musicians that just weren't on my radar.

Hey Zang! I have tix for the Friday JRAD show at the Eastern. I may pick Sunday as it gets closer. That is the only show I have in the hopper at the moment.  I did get tix for King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard at the Caverns, but that is the first of June.  I would love to meet up at JRAD and have a beverage.

This is one of my favorite times of the year because a lot of the winter and spring tours are being announced. Hopefully I will have more on the list soon.

Hey WOZ I will be at the fox one of those nights any chance I can get a picture of my costume that you took on Halloween?

The show last night at the Fox sure didn't disappoint me.
The crowd seemed like they were really diggin it as well.

So much great music and talent- i don't know where to start.

We Nice. Good to hear the positive reviews of Oakland.

Wow Wow WOW Howard!!!!

I thought both nights at The Fox were really good I am glad Dave Malone is getting more play than in 2017 when I saw them. Medeski on Chest Fever was AWESOME! Margolin jammed really well, Taj was very good too he did great on Such A Night  and anytime I can be in a room w Warren playing music for 3+ hours thats is gold for me it souths my soul.

I am really glad i went.
