  phil lesh & friends 1999 - To...

Father's Day

Man, not even sure.

Maybe his 70th birthday? Or was Furthur fest after that? Turtle, what ya got?

Jesus it was probably with Furthur.  I wish my last Phil show wasn't a Furthur show but that might be easier to swallow than if it was a TFB show.

Four weeks ago.

Whatever the last date was at The Cap around Memorial Day

4 days ago!! cheeky

Woops im sorry It was Phils 70th almost a 5 hour show Really !

I think it was the philstock extravaganza a little over a year ago.

if that ends up being the last time I'll feel like I went out relatively ontop.

July 30 at the Cap with Midnight North and Stella Blues band.  Maybe 400 people there.  Price = FREE......just about right.

The last time Phil played on Long Island/Jones Beach with a band he was in called "The Dead" - 8/13/2004

"Return to Aquarius". That was about a year ago, E! Such an amazing day of free-flowing music played by magicians, all of us surrounded by friends. I loved watching Phil offstage watch Stanley Jordan play Jimi Hendrix. Biggest smile ever!

11/27/05

flew home from (driving) moving my sister out to jamestown, CO.

plane landed on time..got bus home , got to car , drove up to milwaukee. 12yrs ago...DAMN !

warfield with Joan & sco?

or maybe Vegas with Modeski & trey?

NO, sorry, stream of consciousness.

probably May (?) 2008 warfiled run where he did the albums.

fuck, too long ago, no matter if I recall more recent shit.

June '93

It was a dark and stormy night...

soldier field  07/05/15

Last time was Furthur Red Rocks with Branford. I made my peace that it could be the last time since I'm unlikely to travel to see him. I could have gone to the Fox in Boulder this summer but $80 was too much $$ for me to drop on the family band.

About three weeks ago, with Weir and the Family Band in the friendly confines of the Grate Room. That was real good. I also saw him in the GR a couple of times in July when he sat in with Karl Denson's group one night & the other when Keller Williams played with the Family Band, and both of those were smoking good.

Next I'll be seeing him this Friday when he sits in with the Infamous Stringdusters in the same little room. That should also be a fine time.

Phil isn't as bombastic a player as he used to be, but he's still absolutely brilliant and I continue to very much enjoy almost every show I see him play.

I wouldn't keep going if I didn't.

Sums it up pretty good. last time i saw him was ftw santa clara

Last: FTW 7/3-5/15 Soldier Field

2nd Last: Xmas Jam 12/12/13 Asheville Civic Center

PLQ

March or April.

It was sweet hearing Phil through a stadium sound system again at FTW. Still waiting for a good lineup at TXR, methinks I may have missed out.

3/17/17

Seen Phil, Melvin, Stu in backyard a Terrapin Crossroads the last two times 2016-17

Jackie B-day at Warfield with Bob & Phil

8.4.17 playing bass with the Rowan Bros. Good times...

02/27/16 (Sat)  Brooklyn Bowl - Las Vegas, NV  .... although I can't remember if there was a Sunday family band show and if I stayed?

Wanted to go again this year, because it had been a year ... so this thread is kind of hitting home re: the length of time getting up there for what I've been used to for a while

PLF with sless, jordan, molo, mookie, and some unfortunate special guests playing the outdoor stage, fall 2015, before that was GD50

last saturday at the crossroads, today in the park

8.4.17 playing bass with the Rowan Bros. Good times...

Cap "Near-Q" show w/ Warren & Krasno.

I'm pretty sure it was Vegoose late night 2006 with Medeski and Trey at the Orleans or the festival show at Sam Boyd show with flubbed Mississippi Half Step start.

2007!

Has anyone ever really "seen" Phil or is it just your perception of Phil?

Phil's 77th B-day run, this Spring.

I'd like to get out to TXR at some point, but likely this Spring was the last I'll see him.

Futhur... Atlantic City, the show that followed Bob's collapse at the Cap

One of Phil's backyard shindigs last summer.

Still on my radar for later this year.

Cap, with Nelson and Sless, fall, what, two years ago, maybe longer?

It's a $$ thing.

Phil's 77th i think

Last summer when they had the 1990 year show

WE Love PHIL So Much....

Memorial Day weekend. Bittersweet due to Gregg Allman news.

Somone asked for a copy of this show

Last PLQ reunion at the Cap - 20 year old son was astounded at the quality of the band and its playing.

Just another Q show!

NOW!

Furthur at Red Rocks 2013. Branford night was funcheeky

last oct. w/ luther and sless and molo and co.

luther ruined the entire run. dude sucks.

be sweet if to catch phil one last time w/ sless and molo and a band that doesn't fuck around, that knows how to play some serious dead that melts your face off.

The Q show in Queens at Forest Hills Tennis Stadium.  That show was smoking!

>>>About three weeks ago, with Weir and the Family Band in the friendly confines of the Grate Room.

Same as Lance.  Got to see both him and Phil......both looking very good!! wink

July 2013 Penn's Peak was a great night, last really good line-up that came East, the 3 Johns delivered the goods, Molo, Kadelcik, and Modesk.

Last one for me was his sit-in with Karl Denson's Tiny Universe at the Grate Room, 07/06/17.  Good show!  Even with that other bass player...

BTW: If anyone has an extra ticket for Friday's Infamous Stringdusters show, I'd love to purchase it.

5/27 at the Cap this past Memorial Day Weekend.  I have been treating each Phil show I attend as my possible last one for a while now and will have to hold on to that one for the time being as I don't plan on attending anything on this Halloween run.

11/11/11. figured a nice number to wrap things up on. no regrets
