Rand Paul's "R" stands for "Righteous Libertarian" (we call them Libretarians).
Here in KY, we recognize a good libretarian when we see one.
I hadn't heard of Amash, and hopefully his election is indeed a sign of defection.
Libertarianism is interesting as a philosophy that could certainly be practiced, but I've nearly come to accept it as merely another word for republican.
