Spacemen 3 - Playing With Fire

Leon Redbone

The Golden Inn

Golden, New Mexico July 3, 1981

(The video is quite dim but that's because Leon insisted that the stage was lit only by a single 60-watt light bulb, however, the audio is highly entertaining.

Mike Oldfield 'Tubular Bells' Live at the BBC 1973 (HQ remastered)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KXatvzWAzLU

"BBC TV 2nd House Performance": live-in-the-studio performance for the BBC, filmed on 30 November 1973, originally broadcast on BBC2 on 1 December, with a cast including Oldfield, his brother Terry (flute), Fred Frith (and other members of Henry Cow), Steve Hillage, Pierre Moerlen, Tom Newman, Mike Ratledge, Mick Taylor, Karl Jenkins and others. It includes a new part for oboe.

^^^^Good stuff!  My son loves Tubular Bells.

I'm listening to: Ozric Tentacles - Afterswish (1984 - 1991)

Eric B & Rakim - Paid in Full

Black Sabbath - We Sold Our Soul for Rock and Roll

Working my way through those two shows at the Ardsmore last Fri-Sat.

American Beauty was a bit of a shit-show, but Workingman's Dead came off great.

Methinks some rehearsal time was put in on Saturday.

Oh, yeah, Todd Stoops for new Phil Friend.  Dude was killin' it with both hands.

Black Sabbath - Paranoid

^I was just recommending that album to the kid - as we were watching the end of Iron Man. smiley

^ nice work!

June is listening to Ward

Daves Pick's 30.  Nice era that I have not listened to much in a long time.

6-4-95 - 24 years ago today.

My last GD show and thought it rocked while there (except unbroken chain).   Listened to it a few times since and some of it was cringe worthy, but the first set is actually pretty solid.

>>>Tubular Bells

Ha!

Grand piano
Reed and pipe organ
Glockenspiel
Bass guitar
Double-speed guitar
Two slightly distorted guitars

Plus, tubular bells
