JRAD Stream from the CAP beginning tomorrow 2/21

Couch tour! https://relix.com/live/

$20 per night, custies

This is for a glorified cover band, sure, the players are good, but that much just to watch them on TV?

Bands are for-profit businesses these days.

Too sketchy for me.

what is too sketchy ? paying 20$ to sit in the comfort of your own home and watch and listen to a great band playing grate music ???

costs more to park at the gig

hear hear Mike.

this aint about resenting the price for a video stream, some folks just like to piss on JRAD for no matter what they do, play, sing etc

I am looking for a ticket for tonight if anyone has any extras.

Thanks!

Need a Saturday GA. Cash and a little ass glitter thrown in for kicks.

Speaking of ass glitter wtf ever happened to mike w?

Speaking of ass glitter wtf ever happened to mike w?<<<<

He's seeing the world's greatest jazz musicians, mere feet from this doorstep.

Very overrated. Just another cover band

Whatever.

Selling out and kicking ass.

I'd like to see 'em.

BTW, there's a pretty cool acoustic Metzger & Friends thing on the LMA cover page.  Some PA issues at the top but worth hanging in.

Sketchy = too many notes

"Doesn't really give each note it's own character, he's very sketchy up and down the neck"

Moody, you talkin' about JRAD or the Hallowed Q?

Well, $20 may be a lot for "just another cover band", but after watching the free facebook feed for a while it's clear that one thing you get for the $20 pro feed is no babbling idiot (the guy recording from the rail) singing lustily and almost desperately trying to call every song so he can be first in-the-know and say, "I TOLD YOU!!!"

I know that shit isn't exclusive to the east coast by any means, but damn you easties are good at it!

"FOOLISH HAUUT! YEAH, FOOLISH HAUUT! OH MY GUAD, FOOLISH HAUUT!!!

Ha.

It's his feed so I guess he can do as he pleases, and despite Mr. Man jabbering the music has been good, as usual with some real good jams and segues.

These guys are a really talented, rockin' band.

At least The Q smothered the licks in southern sauce! That's character.

I hear you, Lance.

I appreciate the TXR streams but the play-by-play/where we gonna eat?/hey, i saw so and so stuff is a drag.

hey look, theres Lance being passive aggressive in his eval of the Q and east coast deadheads.  I know its not a west coast thing but damn you westies sure are good at the passive aggressive nonsense when it comes to thinking you are better as crowds/fans/deadheads then the east coast folks

Tonight I'll Be Staying Here With You

my favorite talker/yeller of all time was at one of the furthur shoreline shows later in the bands run, maybe their last shoreline show, and the band is obviously inching towards unbroken chain, all the cameras are focused on phil, he's up in the mix, the whole band is obviously following him, he leads the band into the unbroken chain intro, and right before he starts singing some drunk chick behind me yells; "BOBBBBBBBBAAAAAAAAAY!!!!!!"

also, why anyone would want to listen to a paid stream, or low quality free stream of shows by popular bands with dedicated taper followings is beyond me. this show will be up on archive in crisp soundboard quality within a few days, a few weeks at most. i look forward to hearing the faster/rounder at that time.

Last night had some amazing improvisation, was glad to be in the room. Can't wait for the next two nights.

Jeff Travitz is still at it after all these years.  super nice guy and a wonderful taper

$20 for a JRAD stream?

lol

There's always a free stream. You just gotta poke around.

East west was : is an amazing album that holds up

Yeah, that passive aggressive shit would never fly back east.

And I don't think I've ever been passive aggressive about the Q. My personal opinion of that band as being generally too busy and heavy handed for my personal taste is well on record, which is why I'm often a bit surprised by Q fans who don't care for JRAD for the same reasons.

Anyway, apologies Drkstar, it was late and I was just having a little fun. I'm well aware that jabbering and the desire to be the one "in the know" are universal human issues, ones that I often deal with myself. But damn I do love an east coast accent.

and I will cop to being a transplanted far too loud back in the day east coast deadhead who prob jumped the gun defending against a stereotype that exists for a reason

the "hallowed" part aside, I might have overreached for the passive/aggressive behavior around your eval of fhe Q over the years.  you have been quite articulate about all the forms of Phil's bands throughout the years and altho I dont agree on your narrative of the Q, you have been very consistent and without pulling punches on your take
