I had a fun time at the two shows I attended (Ogden & 1st Bank); however, it wasn't until I had actually experienced the shows firsthand that it fully sunk in re: songs not being the actual arrangements. So much so, that after the two day run was over, I had a VERY distinct itch that felt like it still needed to be scratched. I believe this feeling was due to not experiencing "closure" re: how the original / target / songs are supposed to traditionally resolve. Likewise, it was interesting and somewhat comical to see some of the flatbrims eating up the pure nectar as if it were the actual whole item of fruit ... kind of like making a meal out of an "all you can eat desert buffet". Not saying I didn't like what I heard, in fact there were some great exploratory moments, but it befuddles me as to how any of what they play can be deemed "Grateful Dead songs" ... let alone be listed in "setlist format"?!?!? The practical part of me understands that it's an easy shorthand way of relaying via written word what went down, but are there enough characters on the keyboard to qualify the "teases" and such? And if the footnotes need to be as long or longer than the actual setlist itself, is it fair to question whether there ought to be another way of denoting the setlists?

* - I’m going to start labeling Terrapin part-by-part. “Lady With A Fan” goes from “Let my inspiration flow” to “ but he cannot be bought or sold“ and “Terrapin Station” goes from “Inspiration, move me brightly” to “and the whistle is screaming: TERRAPIN“. On this night, the second part of the “Suite” including “"Terrapin”, “Terrapin Transit”, “At a Siding”, "Terrapin Flyer" & "Refrain" was not played at this show
