Let me know what you got...

Thanks to everyone at the Showbox, and all of you! See you tomorrow at McDonald Theatre...

Teases are lame.

Cool. Looking forward to Red Rocks on Thursday.

Last night was THE SHIT. They were firing on all cylinders. Mind blown. Want more.

Yes I would really love a spoonman jammed into my gd music. Thought these guys were alright when I seen them but still think I would rather see dso

Thanks for the report, Dan.

I've got family in town, so I couldn't make it.  Been meaning to see JRAD.  Hope they come back.

The Showbox Marketplace will be getting visited by the wrecking ball soon.  Surprised they didn't do Samson & Delilah.

Knotesau, teases have been a part of improvisational music since there's been improvisational music, at least since recorded improv. John Coltrane did them, Thelonious Monk did them, Miles Davis did them, Jerry Garcia did them, The Hallowed Q did them, JRAD does them, virtually all improv musicians have done them.

Teases are nothing new, and the greatest have done them; why do you hate them?

>>but still think I would rather see dso

I like that these guys make the music their own.  I enjoy the teases.....dead on roids.

HDave, I was expecting a Samson also.

NotSo, my first Dead show in ‘79 has a big Gloria jam, maybe that’s why I relate to JRAD.

^^^^11/79 Buffalo War Memorial or 12/79 Pittsburgh Stanley Theatre have the goods^^^^

Looks Way Sweet Some of those Songs ! __ praying for a torrent soon

Heading out in a couple of hours to Eugene for my first JRAD show. Should be big fun.

Have a blast, this is a great band!

A Gloria jam is a good tease. Some of JRAD’s teases look like buzz killers.

I've moved on from the GD tribute/nostalgia bit or I would have been there...glad that those who enjoy this type of stuff had a good time.

what kind of shows you hitting up nowadays, JR?

Saturday night in Eugene

The Wheel > Uncle Johns Band, Dancing in the Streets, Eyes of the World

Crazy Fingers, Estimated Prophet, Ramble On Rose, Yazoo Street Scandal, Tennessee Jed, Music >The eleven>MNS

E: Good Morning Little Schoolgirl (in a rockabilly style, SM)

>I enjoy the teases.....dead on roads

I would rather see my dead on acid

Studies show ppl who dont like teases  were either teased as a child or are dating one.

This band is just so good.

Fun times last night in Eugene!

First set was probably an hour and twenty minutes for four songs. Each one had supersonic boosters and huge peaks and valleys. Tight playing, and big jams.  I almost wish there was a song in the mix that was a little less jammed out to balance the massive jams.

Second set set was terrific, the Crazy Finger > estimated > ramble on rose was a terrific segment. When the band stopped after ramble on rose, they received a sustained ovation from a very happy audience. The Music Never Stopped > the eleven > music never stopped was loud rocking and a screaming version. Fun time, we were drained after dancing all night to these guys, they had the whole place dancing at level 10. Good times.

>> I almost wish there was a song in the mix that was a little less jammed out to balance the massive jams.

That's actually been my issue with this band of late. The playing is still top notch, but they should stop for a break every few songs to let it breathe a little, at least in the first set

Thought they couldn't be any better after Seattle, but in Eugene they were more dynamic, letting things simmer a bit sometimes, but the peaks were high and the band was at 11. Marcos keys were a little buried in the mix, but Dave was louder and I thought he was really on his game. Dancing was a standout - speaking of which, the Eugene crowd really rocked it as well, getting their boogie on and really showing the love. The ovation after Rose was intense.

Kinda regretting selling my Bend ticket now, but that was pretty satisfying.

That was the most heartfelt mid-set standing ovation after Ramble On. They band was taken aback.

Someone amend the Eugene set list to include the ‘money for nothing’ tease.

whos headed to bend?

In Bend right now, 5 people back on left.

Awesome time last night... we’re almost to Bend... missing the start. Looking for a tent site.

One nice treat of The JRADs,  is that they tend to post most of their shows up on the Archive.

That's pretty Cool.  laugh

So we ended up in Bend w/o planning it...ran into friends who live there and they invited us to camp in their backyard. Didn't see the meteors, though.

Here are the JRAD-authored set lists for Eugene and Seattle.  Eugene remains my favorite of the 2 nights.
