Jorma's Quarantine Concert # 38 tonight

Forums:

Happy Saturday, folks. Anyone have a link for #38? I can't find one...

From Jorma's Cracks In The Finish page:

I don’t have the link for tonight’s Quarantine Concert yet but just go to YouTube at 8PM and find Fur Peace TV and we’ll all ‘see’ you then!

I will post the link when I find it, Judit.

Great pics! Paul Karp posted on Facebook that due to ice they are recording at 5 EST and will broadcast at 8 EST as usual. See you there.

Thanks, I just found it, too!

does his wife get on anyone else's nerves?

No. She's not my wife.

He talked about wearing his dad's navy hat a few weeks ago.

Turts, yeah, a little.  But he seems to love her.

I love the mouse stories, the Mouse Sales and Retrieval - funny and clever.

I love the acoustic music. LOVE. It's so beautiful and sweet and delicious. I could listen to longer concerts if Jorma will play them.

I like Vanessa enough except when she says or sings "Happy Birthday Mr(s). President".  They've made a loving life together and while she's not my favorite part, I'm okay with her.

I wish there were fewer questions and more music but they do it the way they do.

Jorma is a funny guy and is very entertaining with his stories. He's obviously proud of his past, but doesn't take a lot of the 'living legend/rock star' stuff too seriously, either. You can almost see him roll his eyes when he gets asked a: "do you remember when...?" question, although he always answers very cordially. Vanessa is a decent moderator, but occasionally rambles a bit.

>occasionally rambles a bit.<

yeah, mayyyyybe a little bit of an understatement, but I'll tolerate that piercing voice anyday since it comes with a big slice of Jorma. Price is right. Vibes are good. And my mute button works.

I'm sending the Mousehower tee to my brother.  My brother and Jorma have a mutual friend, A____.  Nice guy.  Gave us Jorma's personal Beacon tix when he couldn't make the trip up.  I figure my bro can either pass the shirt on to A____ as thanks or take a pic and make him jealous.wink

^  I know that guy. Has a lot of guitars. (I turned down those tickets.)

So do Alan and your brother know each other, too, Bluest? Could be the start of something big.

I thought Alan was A___ for a whilesmiley

Are you certain he's not?

Small World . It's one of those We are Everywhere / a few degrees of separation things, though the other Alan, who I've known since gradeschool is not a Zoner. He does have some great Jorma stories and artifacts, though.

Even though it is only 200 miles, by the time a hotel, train or parking, and restaurants are taken into account, going to New York City for a single night can be quite costly, and I'm not  much of a City guy. I've done it for a couple shows at the Cap, but frankly, I'd rather use that money to fly to SF, stay at the Best Western in Corte Madera, and see a show at the TXR or Sweetwater. Better weed.
