Tried to get tickets through
Tried to get tickets through both the artist pre-sale and the Live Nation pre-sale this morning, but when I got to the front of the queue, there were no links to tickets. I guess they must have had a limited number of pre-sale tickets available. My guess is the greedy bastards who run Live Nation intentionally limited the pre-sale quantitys so they can gouge the demand via "dynamic pricing" tomorrow when the public onsale happens.
It's a little frustrating, because my sister is a big fan of both Joni and Brandi, and when I told her about the shows, she said she and my brother-in-law really want to go. We reserved rooms at the Inn At Moses Lake, and she tasked me with getting the tickets. Hopefully, it all works out tomorrow, but it sucked wasting a couple of hours this morning all for nought.

Good luck tomorrow Dave. If
Good luck tomorrow Dave. If it was in the Bay Area I'd try for tickets.
I only got to see Joni once, opening for Dylan in San Jose in 1998.
She was awesome; I never thought I'd be able to see her live.

You think D&C tickets are
You think D&C tickets are scarce and pricey, this is Joni's first announced and only show (so far) in 20 years. Judging from comments on her FB page, people are coming from all corners to see her, and most didn't seem to get anything in the presale. One person was ecstatic she paid $600 for 2 lawn tickets (likely 'platinum' or resale).
This has the usual 'fiasco' written all over it, ticket-wise. Also Joni will be propped up (actually, she'll likely be sitting) by Brandi and others and probably won't go over an hour. Still, I can understand this will be a pilgrimage for many to see a legend and true artist. I'm a 6 hour drive away, and a big fan, but no way am I paying over face (I never do anyways).
Here are the 'standard' ticket prices:
Section 102 - $125 + $28.54 fees
Sections 101 & 103 - $85 + $20.96 fees
Sections 203 & 204 (Rows 2-5) - $85 + $20.96 fees
Sections 202 - 204 (Rows 12-14) - $65 + $17.16 fees
General Admission Lawn - $55 + $15.27 fees
Additionally, there is a 2 day Lawn Pass for $100 + $25.50 in fees.

Well that sucked.
Well that sucked.
Logged onto the "watiting room" for the queue as soon as it became available at 9:47 a.m. Was still 2000+ in the queue when that opened at 10:00 a.m. Didn't get to the front of the queue until 10:18 a.m. Every ticket I tried to purchase (I tried all quantitities) for the next hour was already purchased by another customer. I think the ticket brokers have robots gaming the system. The prices were ridiculous. The pavilion seats ranged from $500-$900. A couple of random single lawn tickets popped up, but it really didn't matter what I tried to purchase, because by the time I hit the link to buy "another fan had already beat me to them".
I had to break the news to my sister, who was bummed out. I will try looking on the secondary market, and will ask my various connections in the concert and ticket businesses, but I'm not really expecting much. A miracle would be nice.
Live Nation needs to be disbanded.

So it seems to me the play
So it seems to me the play book for the new dynamic pricing era is to create a huge demand for a some shows, rake in the dynamic pricing windfall, then announce more shows and just get the normal ridiculous fees. The Sunday show is coming soon.

^Saturday would probably have
^Saturday would probably have to be highly probable of selling out before any such second show would be considered. With all due respect to the fine artists on this bill, in all honesty is this show even going to sell out? I have never been to the venue but it is not exactly super accessible and have heard that it requires some serious walking too. The vast bulk of Joni's fans are not young either. Just looking at it realistically.

The second night, the one
The second night, the one where Joni is playing, is sold out. The first night, where Brandi is headlining, is all but sold out. There were a pair of tickets in the 5th row in the pavilion available for it this morning at around $250 each. I passed.
Joni hasn't played a proper live show since 1999. The demand is very high for people to see her.
