Jerrys Mutron III for sale

I want the octave divider.

That's a lot of money for a beat up piece of outboard equipment.

steve parish listed a few wrenches he says were used on the road with the dead...like just regular looking individual wrenches, $80-$100 a pop

These are a couple of pretty funny wrench comments from a Phish.net thread a couple days ago about the Parish auction:

"Hey that wrench tightened a bolt on a frame that held a stage that Jerry Garcia stood on, man! When you tighten a bolt with it, it's like you're playing Dark Star."

"I looked at those listings, and it seems like he might have had one legitimate wrench, but then thought, "Who's going to verify the authenticity of a wrench?" and went out to his garage to grab a couple more."

Why is it in such bad shape? Looks like it was in a flood. The wrenches are in better condition..

I call Jerry's Pedal for band name.

My son has one, played the shit out of to some dead, played some to phish after GD 50, especially after ATL that year.

I think Trey feels it more during the first set.

here it is

I have a good Jerry pedal story ..  at the end of a gig this guy is checking out my pedals taking pictures etc. I told him it was cool and if he wanted any pedal tips I would gladly help out... he asked which was the Jerry pedal I automatically thought he meant the mutron. I said do you mean the sound on Shakedown street. He said no what pedal were you using during Bertha that makes you sound exactly like Jerry. I said I don’t use any pedals during Bertha. But he continued to insist there was a pedal that gave you the Bertha tone. At that point I was done.

The Bertha Tone is a better band name than Jerry's Pedal. That is all.

There are some inferior Mutrons made in the 80s after the original company got bought and died that you should avoid if looking for one (to play, not be buried with)
