Jerry Jam

Forums:

Just a fucking awesome little festival.

stop using his name in vein for your drug band gatherings.

Turtle, Not sure if your joking but JerryJam was started many years ago to celebrate his music so it is very appropriate.

Briank, Absolutely! My only complaint was the seemingly short Creek show otherwise a killer weekend and for once no rain!

I was skeptical about a late night Allman's tribute band, especially after Creek and JGB, but holy shit, they were so good and so much fun!

Jen had a great time. Told her to look for you Brian, but she didn't see ya.
Decided I was too old for primitive festie camping, but from her reviews, sounds like I made the wrong choice...

EZ Up, big tent with air mattress, reclining lounge chairs...I could have stayed for much longer!

We were camped amidst a mooch of wooks, maybe 25-30 of them. Just before sunrise on Saturday, the party ratcheted up with a Pop Tart war. They woke up the entire bowl and hillside above. We were literally ground zero, but I wasn't bothered. They were just dosed, drunk and giggling. That particular mooch did DeadCo Tour, but they weren't at Jerry Jam to swing and sling, they were there to relax, have fun and laugh. Even with that many wooks, there was zero drama.

That, to me, exemplified the event.

Well at least it wasn't in an artery.

Anybody from Philadelphia show up....

Nope, and the word is that no ambulances were needed for the weekend.

A truly fantastic, very cool, chill little festival and scene. Camping grounds and area were excellent. Weather was perfect, which always makes things better.  Yep, y'all know that there's no "Quiet Time" at festivals so if you go, ya gotta deal.  We had a drum circle near us until sunrise Friday night. So, I got about 2 less hours of sleep than if it was quiet. Small price to pay for such a kind scene! The next night we were the last ones up, no drum circle, just endless late night laughter, giggling and memories with friends!

JK Band ripped on Friday. He and his band are sooooooooo solid!  Pro band for sure.  I was shocked how good Creek was. High energy and ripping. Bo Sasser sat in on keys for a tune and elevated things for sure. Kung Fu was really good as usual. Melvin - JGB was a 10!  Start to finish pure Grade A songs and jams!!  Zach is improving by the day and truly up and coming.... he knows his way around the guitar and seems comfortable leading the band.

I agree BrianK, the Peacheaters were really really good! Maybe not the greatest band ever but with much more room than during JGB, and the late night vibe, that was full-on Throwdown dance party for the Allmans set!!  Our crew laid it down and had such a blast.  At 2:00 I saw the band look side stage at Dan and Dan gave the nod for one more they ripped a 15-minute Back to Where It All began!  What a perfect and great way to end the night!

Sunday offered another gorgeous sunny day filled with lots of time wallowing in the stream in front of the second stage. Mellow, hanging with friends to wind down the weekend. surprised how many people left Sunday morning.  They really missed a nice way to cap off the festival.

So much fun!

Interesting how people hear things differently. I thought the JK Band was kind of a snoozer. I liked how Fennario and Undercover Dead played Bobby tunes.

I know that Soulshine is over-played, but that version with Nicole D'amico was sick. That chick has a great voice.

We had to leave at 1:00 on Sunday.
