This recording sounds hot with cans on.

Fiends who were there said it was blazing but up until today I never heard it.

I missed this gig cause I was on the Big Island getting away from it all!

Interestingly, Jerry followed me to HI!  Saw him at the Waikiki Shell on 5/12 but regrettably missed him at the Hilo Long House cause I was on my way back to Oakland.

Tasty stuff all up in here!

(Big fan of Nick here!)

had that on DAT and it's been lost

It's a jewel.

Was this the same show South of Market where Jerry did a duo with Country Joe? I think the Dinosaurs were on the bill too. Crazy night.

Thanks!  I remember vaguely hearing about this, & attending a street festival featuring some of the same players (Merl S was there too) during the June Cal Expo/Shoreline run at which some local folks were hoping Jerry would appear, because they had attended this gig.  Wow Brian Wilson needed a Benefit?

Dalton - the answer is no.

That was the Artist Right's Benefit at the Gift Center Pavilion.
I was there.

Jerry indeed played with Country Joe.
It was also one of the last Dinosaur Joe's prior to Cippolina leaving us.

Poster Artists Benefit. Jerry Garcia, John Kahn and Bob Weir as a surprise guest. Other acts included Country Joe McDonald, Dinosaurs and Nick Gravenites and Animal Mind.

I remember this was very fun.
Jerry with Country Joe was a treat and the Dinosaurs rocked.
This Jerry stuff was a great thing.

Thanks Treblemaker. I loved that Garcia & Country Joe set. I remember it being some unique styling from Jerry at the time.

BTW. You wouldn't happen to have the Country Joe set,  would you? That's been a buddy's Holy Grail.

90 pete n jerry?
