Jerry & David Sweetwater

We were just watching the dueling banjoes at the Warfield.

Very nice, thanks for posting.

That's some great footage! Love and miss the old Sweetwater! Had many big thrills in that room.

Iwt.I was heading home after flippin eggs at Sonoma Farms alll morning! Pass in front of the closest bar to my house( lived about 2 miles up the mountain) The old sweetwater saloon. As I passed by my freind Dave waved me in, he was the house sound man at the time." Hey Tom come here, can you help me to wire some mics....? You might wanna stick around!" It was about 5:30 and the place was being cleared out the 5 or 6 happy hour customers were being gently asked to leave, for there was a private party getting ready.Dave taught me how to wire a mic and wrap the cord correctly down the stand, I wired both Jerry's and David's mics, but I didnt know it Jeanne seamed to think I was supposed to be there with Dave ,so we finished and hung at the board  Dave asked me if I knew who was coming? I said No, thaughts crossed my mind, John Lee Hooker,Carlos,Bonnie Rait,Bobby's dropped bye a few times with Sammy.. hmmm He said Grisman and Garcia,I was floored, went to the pay phone by the toilette to call my girlfriend Laura, It was a private gig so I coudn't really invite anyone, but I let her know anyway , she's all jelouse and shit and said "have fun",My work being done I sat on the bench directly behind the soundboard and ordered a sierra Nevada pale ale.People started coming in ,very few dead heads, I think it was the village music christmas party or somethin, anyway the 98 personnes  capacity was there , Jerr n Dave n crew walked in with thier riggs, set up and THE THRILL WAS NEVER GONE AGAIN, absolutey one of my best concert memorys, thanks for postin
