How many years ago was this?

New AG Mathew Whitaker recent OP ed on CNN...

It is time for Rosenstein, who is the acting AG for the purposes of this investigation to the 4 corners of the order appointing him special counsel. If he doesn't, then Mueller's investigation will eventually start to look like a political fishing expedition. This would not only be out charecter for a respected figure like Mueller, but also could be damaging to the President of the United States and his family --and by extension, to the country

WTF

He's gonna drag us all down with him

Wasn't Sessions instrumental in keeping Mueller employed? The House doesn't have the votes to keep the investigations going until January, does it? I may not be following all of this closely enough to know.

Yes, does that matter to you? The wheels of justice churn slowly.....

Whittaker fires Mueller, do we have take to the streets?

>>>>> do we have take to the streets?

Of course not. Just wait for another election and vote.

Rosenstein being summoned to Whitest House.

President Race Baiterson is going to fire him today

Whitaker might not fire Mueller, but could instead limit the scope of the investigation to exclude Trump's finances and otherwise just make it hard for him to do his job.   In fact, Whitaker told CNN in July 2017:

"I could see a scenario where Jeff Sessions is replaced with a recess appointment, and that attorney general doesn’t fire Bob Mueller, but he just reduces his budget to so low that his investigation grinds to almost a halt.”

as much as most of us probably dislike sessions for other reasons, his recusal was one of the main reasons the muller investigation was not stopped or slowed...sessions was approved before the investigation started, then recused himself, but if trump is going to find a new ag now, after the investigation has been going on for awhile, it only stands to reason that he will do everything he can to make sure his new appointment will not recuse himself and will help cool off the investigation, at the very least.

Acting AG can work to suppress Mueller's work without having to fire him. Let's say Mueller tells Whitaker that he plans to indict Donny, Jr., Roger Stone, etc. tomorrow. Whitaker can forbid it. He can also cut back his funding to continue the probe which would be an interesting play to see if a) these folks on the case decide to work pro bono (that would be f'n great) or 2) if, we the people, paid them out of our own pockets (saying us so Trumpsters wouldn't jump in with "George Soros" funding nonsense).

GOP Senate and House (between now and Jan 1) will continue to do nothing. Why would that change at this point?

Let me state here that I have no idea if there is guilt or enough evidence to prove guilt. I'm not a Dem nor a Repub. However, I believe that it is possible given the circumstantial evidence we have all seen and heard ("meetings? there were none. oh that meeting, well that was the only one. oh that other meeting, that was the only other one, etc. etc, etc. oh, well the 32 meetings, everyone does it", double digit indictments by Grand Juries composed of regular folks like you and me, not "deep state" bullshit and numerous guilty pleas), and I believe that no one, Trump, Hillary, you, me, etc. should be above the law and our nation needs to let this play out. If Mueller comes out and says "these other guys did some shit, but I could not find anything on Trump", we need to move on.

That said, given Trumps continuous decisions to not let it play out, we have got to hope that there are patriots within this investigation who, if there is critical evidence out there, that they take the steps to ensure the American people at least get to see it.

Remember his meetings with Kislyak?

Maybe Sessions will, now.

Why would Sessions help Mueller?
