I think it went a little deeper than that. I believe someone failed to notice how fragile Jay was at the time because of some serious life shit he was going thru, and continued to poke at him till he just had enough and bailed. Most zoners are pretty good at noticing when someone needs some understanding, some not. Some prefer attacks, don't ask me why, but it's a shame,, Jay's a good man.

He regurgitated Joe Rogan's nonsense regarding vaccines and ivermectin.

But i also challenged him on his assertions about the older folks here being brainwashed by propaganda. 

And I asked him to provide some examples of the discrimination he had experienced as a straight white guy (from one of Jay's past post) He declined stating that straight white guys are not allowed to have a nuanced opinion on such issues.  

I called him out for his cowardly response. 

Jay believes that race  gender identity/sexual identity, etc are all distractions and the real issue is class struggle.  I stated that there is truth in his statement, but if he truly believed this, he should join with those who are more marginalized and experience more discrimination, so maybe they can be treated as equally as shitty as a poor straight white guy. 

And fuck those against getting vaccinated.

Yeah there was a lot of that going on, but there's something to be said for a zoner who was respectful while having an unpopular difference of opinion. He never came off as an arrogant dick like you appear to be in your above posts. Its no wonder he split this scene.

Jay was respectful when he said the older folks here lack critical thinking skills, because of years of exposure to msm propaganda?  Sure, he's very respectful. 

According to Jay, POC and others who experience discrimination and bigotry should just shut up and join poor, straight, white males in their struggle for equally.

^^Jay is a single father, if i remember correctly. Not an easy road, i do have respect for that. 

He does seem nice enough, albeit willing to use faux victimhood to avoid defending his opinion.

 Alan, regarding the flat earth and flex seal...The guy who "invented" flex seal actually dug though to the other side of the earth and hit the flex seal layer.  The water used to cool the bit was pooling up on the flex seal layer. That's how he realized it was waterproof and he reverse engineered it. Now his a millionaire... I heard it on a podcast.

I'm chiming in only to say one thing: I've broken bread with Jay and found him to be a really enjoyable human. It's been a few years since we've been able to hang out. I wouldn't be suprised if I found out I had different political opinions with lots of people, including him. The challenge is always seeing those we disagree with as real humans and not the devil we are inclined to imagine. He's always been respectful to me, and I'd be the same for him, even if we were on opposing sides. Hope you are doing well Jay

Sio seemed like a very good soul. His kid's mother died and he's a solo parent. He's been through a lot. Heartless souls who are giving him a hard time.
