The Jaws Franchise

Forums:

Yes. Jaws was actually turned into a franchise.

Jaws 2 is an underrated movie.  Monster shark eats teenagers in tiny boats.

Lol. Looking forward to watching this^.

Thanks, SS.

We waited in line starting at 9am for the premier of Jaws 3. We chose that theater and waited so long because it had a balcony, and we were front center. Perfect for the 3D glasses.

Angry great white goes postal on underwater amusement park - are you fucking kidding me? That shit was epic.

Jaws 3D is a much maligned entry in the franchise; but it definitely has its own weird charm.

BTW, the tagline for Jaws 3D was The Third Dimension Is Terror, which is a pretty goddamn awesome tagline.

Dennis Quaid, Lou Gosset and Leah Thompson...

I actually read the books for 1 and 2. From what I remember, they got into the psychology of the shark's motivations.

It was very deep: babies growing in me; protect myself and babies from those who would harm us; hungry, very hungry, eat; babies are growing, eat.

Because of Jaws, we all knew who Spielberg was. So, we camped out for his new scary movie, Poltergeist. I almost pissed my pants I was so scared.

Later that year Spielberg had another movie coming out. It was about an alien, and after Poltergeist we were pumped to be scared shitless. So, we camped out for opening night tickets to that one, E.T.

And god damn, we came out crying instead of scared.

Best "franchise" Ever

3 & 4 lacked ..but Original & 2 were great

We watched Poltergeist Tuesday night. Good stuff.

Was that your first time watching it?

I liked the crawling steak in poltergeist

E.T. Is a remorseless tearjerker

An old golfer used to give shots of apricot brandy to us greenskeepers.

>>>>Was that your first time watching it?

no but it was the first time i noticed Coach was reading a Reagan biography while rolling a joint.

Spielberg was really on a roll during that time.

All classics.

We came home to a closet light left on after seeing Poltergeist. I was 12 I think, scared shitless!

Fire You Son Of A Bitch (duke)

Did you take that picture, plf?

I like that this movie popularized the USS Indianapolis story.

Note:Last reported shark sighting was at North Beach, the Pier and T-street on Sept 7.

Jaws 3D is the Halloween 3: Season of the Witch of Jaws movies.

Shit, remember in Halloween 3-D when Michael cut the dude down the middle with the machete? That was a life-changing 3D moment for me.

Is jaws 4 the worst movie Michael Caine has ever been in?

i'm afraid it might not b....

Blame it on Rio was pretty bad, but it had some decent titty.
