It's still not hot.

Forums:

Highs in the 70's East of the East Bay in August.

Cool summer in the northeast as well.

Trump may take credit.

In Sacramento we broke the all time record for consecutive days over 90 and the streak continues

Cool in the south. Mostly eighties. Very rare.

I don't think we have seen one day over 90 in Vermont this summer. More rain than I would like - but nothing too hot at all. Most days in the 60's and 70's.

Iceberg melting is cooling the atmosphere. :P

How about now, slack?

Currently 57 in Lamorinda. How are the morning Madlibs, Ned?

It's a cool 69 here. Got some Hard Woking Americans streaming off the spotifys. All good, slicker.

Today is the last day in a long series of 90˚ or over. Looking forward to the 80˚'s

This phenomena is very common along the northern coast of California.
At the simplest level it can be explained as the result of hot air in the central valley and cool ocean currents offshore.
In California's 500-mile-long Central Valley, the summer sun heats the air, which rises and is replaced at the surface by cool oceanair drawn inland.

No doubt.  They say we might even get rain on Sunday, which would break the third longest dry spell in Portland history.   In fact, this year has seen numerous weather extremes, including the most snow in 37 years and the fifth wettest winter on record:
