It's official, the Electoral College has voted and Biden has officially clinched the presidency. There's no question about it, it's done. Over. Biden/Harris are President and Vice President. That's it, folks.
January 6
Electoral votes counted in Congress.
Members of the House and the Senate will meet in the House chamber. The President of the Senate -- that's Vice President Mike Pence -- will preside over the session and the electoral votes will be read and counted in alphabetical order by two appointees each from the House and Senate. They will then give their tallies to Pence, who will announce the results and listen for objections.
If there are objections, the House and Senate consider them separately to decide how to count those votes.
There are 538 electoral votes -- one for each congressman and senator plus three for Washington, DC. If no candidate gets to a majority -- that's 270 -- then the 435 members of the House decide the election. Each state gets a vote. So while there are more Democrats in the House, Republicans, as of now, control more state delegations, so it is possible the House could pick Donald Trump even though there is a Democratic majority.
The House has until noon on January 20 to pick the President. If they can't, it would be the vice president or the next person eligible in the line of presidential succession.
Speaking of the Electoral College, I heard that a bunch of MAGA types were roaming the streets of DC over the weekend looking for it with no luck and blaming Google Maps for "hiding" it's location.
It's really amazing that, in spite of not a shred of evidence or proof, that so many people believe Trump's seditious lies. What's also amazing is that those people have been convinced that they are the true Americans, while at the same time acting in the patently mot un-American ways.
Trump can't go soon enough. He is a blight on our nation. At the very best, let's hope that he has brought to surface the worst aspects of our society, culture and government, and we can work together to correct them.
Amusing that the biggest complaint GOP had last year was that the Dems had no evidence for impeachment and to stop the charades and then go on to play this game... the party is a total mess, no longer hold to a single principle about pretty much anything.
crazy how the president tweets the Lemmings a new news source and now all the copy pasters here creaming over it...can't seem to get enough of the tin foil to keep up with themselves

See the "Alternate Reality - Alternate Slate of Electors" thread.
An "alternate slate" of GOP electors in GA, PA, MI, and NV cast their votes today for Trump.
This is a good step but until Biden is physically occupying the Oval Office, its not over.

By all means continue to believe Biden won the presidency in a free & fair counting of legitimate votes...it matters not.
I would suggest you listen to more old school JGB...eat vegan whenever possible and learn to play a musical instrument.
