Isolationism (Our States)

Been thinking lately about how someone's ( Ken's ) backing of chumps's isolationist ideology has taken on a whole new meaning under this virus crisis. Instead of stump just saying FU to the rest of the world, his lack of every basic leadership quality has turned this emergency into a big FU to the states, especially blue ones. FU states, go get your own ppe's and ventilators, the gov't isn't in the business of protecting it's own people, it's in the business of making me richer. Or is he talking tough to cover for his total incompetence ? Incompetent is too mild a word. They haven't invented the adjective to properly describe this fucking asshole yet.

The challenge I see (that you've hinted at) is the general escalation between parties on both sides. Winning matters more than the success of the whole and that has led us to this point where some people on both sides are ok with failures of the opposing "teams" and, to your point, a sabotaging by the president himself. While this has always likely taken place, the overtness is at an all time high and is sad to watch.
United we stand and divided we fall.

I agree this has been a bad
I agree this has been a bad experiment for the country and hopefully we've learned our lesson. However, he seems incredibly deft at spinning and I can only imagine all sorts of other story lines by November.
