Internet Coupon Sleuths, Lend a Hand...

Forums:

So I just bought a new push-mower the other day from Lowe's.  Forgot to bring a coupon, but the staff told me "bring one in and we'll credit you".

Can't seem to locate a good one with bar-code though.

What I need is something like "25% off any purchase" or "25% off outdoor equipment".

Heck even 20% would be grrreat !

I know they are out there somewhere...

BTW it is a Toro purchased at Lowe's.

I don't want to do your dirty work, oh yea...

Call customer service and tell them, "I noticed when I got home, the coupon I gave the clerk was not indicated on the bill, and I no longer have said coupon".  They will hook you up.  And btw, what are you doing buying a new mower. You strike me as the type to groundscore one at the curb and administer mouth to mouth or CPR....

Stu, I rescued a 1982 Craftsman walk build edger. Has a choke , no bulb. Always have to play with the choke yet works fine.

Good luck finding a coupon.

I know,

What the heck am I thinking buying a new mower ???

Well, looking at the reality leading up to that: A year ago I purchased a 30-dollar thrift-store Craftsman exactly like the one before:  21" deck, Big wheel in back, rear-bagger.  Ran all Spring, Summer & Fall. Started right up this Spring. But it's not running 'right' so I went over it almost completely; changed oil, drained & cleaned fuel tank, new plug & air-filter, sharpened blade, all that. I should mention that I've had the (older) twin Craftsman running like, 12 years or so.

So after spending a whole day +/- tuning it up, Craftsman still runs a bit underpowered. My guess is a bit of dirt in Carb.

But, I need a strong-running mower RIGHT NOW as it's prime compost season. April through June is the best season for collecting grass-clippings for a ragin' compost RE*AC*TOR !!  Also I like to keep the grass near the ground so the Ticks have less habitat.

Every day I spend piddling around with temperamental Briggs motors is a day's pay not earned.  I just wanna fire it up and mow a few bags for the compost.

So I put two days regular pay into the new mower.  It's running great.  Nice thing is that it has the Honda GCV-160 motor, which has been a reliable machine on my Log-Splitter and Pressure-Washer for quite a while.  Emergency spare motor,  right ??

Darn it...

After all those times I helped the Fellow Zoners sneak through the PA - NJ border or avoid Firewood sales tax...

Now it's all too mundane to locate the Hot Super-Coupon...  crying
